Here's the *final* version of the Nations of the World. The episode with this song first appeared exactly 20 years ago this week.
The first 4 verses are original from the show in 1993, so it's a little out of date. The next 3 verses are ones I've added, mostly taken from the "List of Sovereign States" article on Wikipedia. I've added asterisks after the places that aren't considered "official" sovereign states, but still made it into the song. This is the third version of this song I've uploaded, because I keep forgetting countries, but this time I'm almost sure I've got em all.

Great song by Kern and Hammerstein, though I changed the lyrics around a bit, as the original song is "Can't Help Loving Dat Man", but as you can see, Tinker is a girl and that just wouldn't make sense now would it.
Oh and Tinker is a 16 year old poodle, but still full of vim and vigor!
Much love and happiness to everyone out there during these troubled times. I can't wait to see you all on the other side, when the sun truly starts to shine.

Inspired by the poem (and the event) The Charge of the Light Brigade by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
I'll probably lose some more subscribers with this video (yup, I ended up losing about 10 right after I uploaded this, haha sorry folks, oh wait, no I'm not), but I never can resist inspiration, no matter how ridiculous. I never planned on making a music "video" for this song (which was meant to be silly from the start), but recently I was struck with a vision and I knew what had to be done, and here's the utterly ludicrous result.

I had the immense pleasure of meeting Larisa at the 2013 Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival. Not only did I have the privilege of playing for *and* with her, but she also was extremely kind enough to give me two of her portfolios which I have been happily devouring.
This particular piece is dedicated to Mimi Blais, an astonishingly talented pianist (just look her up on youtube!). Although I have yet to meet Mimi or hear her perform live, I definitely will be seeing both her and Larisa perform at the West Coast Ragtime Festival coming up this November in Sacramento.
Just in case anyone was wondering, I got Larisa's permission to show the sheet music during the video (I definitely wouldn't have done so without asking first).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larisa_Migachyov is Larisa's Wikipedia article if anyone is wondering, and one thing the article doesn't mention is that she is acknowledged to be the most prolific female ragtime composer *ever*, and she matches the quantity of her pieces with superb quality!
Thanks Larisa!
