We are going through the hives at the house to see how they are growing and if they are drawing new comb from the foundation that we provided. There is a heavy nectar flow right now with blackberry, honeysuckle, privet, and clover flowering. While waiting on the smoker to light we take a quick trip through the garden plot to see how its progressing. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDiCsBCe8SI
While on the line today ended up having many first experiences. Due to a mistake that I made (or was it?), I caught and held a beaver with a 330 by the back leg. Ended up making catches in both my new traps the long spring trap as well as the Duke 850's. At the last location no catches were made so I explored the area some more and located the main dam and the area that the beaver are living. Inside the dam was another first for me, I located a nice whitetail buck, that the beaver had used to build into part of their dam.

Farmer called about some problem beaver where the beaver clogged up a culvert. The diverted water caused extensive damage to the field itself. These beavers are some that I had chased earlier in the season with a few misses, and I educated them with my presence. I am scouting up and down the ditch looking for the area that they are staying in right now.

Each day I am adding more sets to this reservoir line and trying to catch all the beavers and predators that I can to help the land owner out. Today we caught two beaver and a coyote. I show a technique that can be used to grab a coyote in the trap with your hands if the need ever arises that you need to. This is not something I recommend you doing, there are better, easier, and less dangerous ways to accomplish this. Thanks for watching and enjoy!
