My impressions of the Vance & Hines twin slash competition baffles on my Harley Street Bob FXBB with the Stage 3 kit. This is Part 2 of a two-video series on the Vance & Hines competition baffles. In this video, I share my impressions of sound & performance after logging some miles on the competition baffles. In the previous video, I covered the installation process and sound comparison at idle. Vance & Hines offers three sets of baffles for the Twin Slash slip-ons: the standard baffles that come installed, quiet baffles, and competition baffles. In this video, I demystify how to remove and replace the upper clutch cable on the newer Softail Harleys, like the Street Bob FXBB. The two-piece clutch cable that Harley-Davidson introduced with the 2018 Softail bikes is easy to use, but removing and reinstalling the upper clutch cable can be a little challenging until you get the hang of it. The two-piece clutch cable makes lever free-play adjustments a snap, and it also makes bar changes a breeze since it is so easy to swap in shorter or longer upper clutch cables. I had to replace this upper clutch cable on my 2019 Softail Street Bob FXBB when I added the 17" ape hangers (video link below). Dropping the rear of the Street Bob using the Kodlin K66025 lowering kit. This is a really nice kit with great machining and a reasonable price point, and it advertises 1-1.5” of drop. In this video I’ll show you the installation process and also give you a proper review of the lowering kit. I’ve been looking for a good lowering kit for a while now, so I was very pleased to discover this one! There are only two parts and installation is simple...but you will need a spring compressor! Take a look at the results on the Softail Street Bob.

In this video, I finish up the retro old-school 4.5" yellow (amber) incandescent fog light wiring, tie it into the Softail Accessory Plug for switched power, and finish the installation. I made use of the 6-pin Deutsch connector and I've installed an SPDT toggle switch on the outside of the light housing so that I can have low-off-high control independent of the switched power. (See video 1 for the housing modifications and bracket fabrication: https://youtu.be/vi2AumSYn0s) You can find these Deutsch CAN bus connectors on ???? Harley-Davidson motorcycles, including the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Street Bob. Are you thinking about adding a Harley fog light? I love the old-school look of the yellow fog light, but it is also very functional and provides great light. I've installed the fog light on my 2019 Harley-Davidson Softail Street Bob FXBB and tied it into the Softail accessory plug behind the left side cover.
