Second major split in the game. I decided to side with Panther on this one, though maybe Hawk had the better idea. Either way, I decided to do the Search & Destroy mission first. According to my guide, all I had to do was destroy 7 of the Excaliburs and the destroyer would have retreated. Upon editing, I'm pretty sure that's at least how many got destroyed and they kept coming. Invulnerable it was then...
This system is WAY easier than Circe. Had it not been for dumb luck, I would have beat this mission on the first try. Maybe had I brought a better wingman...
Finally found the very well hidden lair of the imps. The last Gremory sibling happened to be here too. What a fortunate coincidence. In addition, I talked to all of the inhabitants inside the Champions' Fort at the Harbour.
I'm hot on Joker's trail here, but he slowed me down a little with some electrified water. It didn't take too long to resolve that delay though. I also cleared up a lot of Riddler tests in this area as well.
Line 'em up and I'll knock 'em down. They did make it a bit difficult to escape on the gargoyles, but other than that these guys went down hard and fast.
The Enigma Machine portion is at 22:35 and the rescuing of the hostage at about 29:35. I had to solve a handful of riddles before that, but it wasn't all that difficult really. Only one riddle that I came up on did I give up on for a later time. I almost second guessed myself on the machine because the riddle was so easy. Yeah, you're REAL smart there, Edward...
So here I was minding my own business, flying around looking to go have a conversation with a talking tree. Then out of nowhere, this goblin army decided to try and shoot me out of the sky. Big mistake on their part...
Swapped over to using the software renderer and lo and behold it performs better than Direct3D. The early 2000's were a weird time I guess. Anyway, I was finally able to beat the skeleton conjurer with the liberal use of healing potions. Unfortunately, a couple of his compatriots are on this level as well, so it was a challenge.
