You know why? Because hardly ANYONE talks or knows about it. In fact the lack common knowledge around the topic of hair loss is the main reason men do nothing about it when they start experiencing it. They just think “Well this sucks, but it’s my genetics and I can’t do anything about it.” WRONG! Once you understand how hair loss works, you’ll be in a far better position to manage it and even reverse it depending on what stage you are at. So here’s what you need to know about hair loss first… Understanding Hair Loss 101 Hair loss can indeed be a scary topic and what’s even scarier is that it will affect more than 50% of males before the age of 50. It’s also common for some men to be experiencing hair loss even in their early 20’s and no matter a man’s age, hair loss can have significant impacts on our social lives and leave a man feeling like an alien and full of shame. Although hair loss can inflict crippling shame on your self esteem, it’s important to remember that it’s actually a very normal condition and there are tons of people out there experiencing the same thing. But why is this even happening in the first place? There can be multiple factors as to why hair loss occurs but the most common cause of hair loss is pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness is usually genetic and is caused by an excess production of the hormone known as DHT (Dihydrotestosterone). Although DHT is a normal and necessary hormone for our body, it is prone to attaching itself the hair follicles on the scalp (particularly the crown and temples) and when there are excessive amounts of it, it begins to suffocate the follicle until death. This is what causes receding hairlines and that odd donut shape that you see on older guys. Pattern baldness is a slow process and can take some time, but if left unattended can lead to permanent hair loss. While I’m here on my man bun braids tangeon, I thought I’d take man bun braid styles to the next level by getting some braid hair extensions whilst I was on holiday in Bali. Before I get started, as per usual, for anyone looking for hair growth inspo and support along your hair growth journey, feel free to join my free facebook group right here: https://manbunsandmanes.com/ Not sure if any of you have done much research into braid extensions but from my experience with theses I found the following: - They are also made of seat belt material. - Braid extension hairstyles are best achieved by tying it on itself as opposed to using hair accessories. (It’s just way too much hair lol) - how to braid hair with extensions is actually 10292039304 times more complex than I thought. The extension starts at your roots and goes to your desired length. - Braiding hair extensions in Bali are far cheaper to get done than in Australia, I only paid $90 Bucks for the whole job. - Taking them out takes almost twice as long as putting them in especially if you are only one person lol. - After having this done, I think I’ve achieved my best ever man bun with braids to date! The main reason i went and got this done was because I’ve always been interested in braid extensions styles (just like the ones I showed you in this video) and I just love switching up my look in general. I really hope no one is offended and I hope you understand that I’m just having a bit of fun with it. If any of you guys have thought about getting braid hair extensions, I strongly recommend it. I felt a little weird just after getting it done but after a couple hours I thought it was the best thing ever and think it’s something everyone should try at least once haha.
