Tennessee High School Principal Barton Thorne was suspended back in January after having the temerity to speak to his students about the importance of preserving freedom of speech (gasp, the horror). That's where we are in America: tell your children they were born racist or victims, guilty or doomed by the color of their skin, and that's fine. Talk to them about the perils of censorship, even when it's people you can't stand or disagree with, and that's failure to keep them safe, or something... Thorne did what we should all do in such a situation, he filed a lawsuit. The school reinstated him, but he's pressing on because they did what they did, and could do it again to him or someone else if the issue isn't resolved. What's more, they damaged his reputation, and sent him home for six weeks. They can't be allowed to get away with that.
