This level is a zone of mushroom towers with incoming Bullet Bills. The first Yoshi Coin is by a green springer. Collect some coins then you’ll find the 2nd Yoshi Coin over some green springers after a Paratroopa. Continue ahead then you’ll find the checkpoint. Go down the purple pipe and you’ll enter a cavern with a skull platform over lava. Collect some coins and the 3rd Yoshi Coin. Go back to the mushroom tower zone and collect the 4th Yoshi Coin below a green springer. The last Yoshi Coin is above a Paratroopa. Continue ahead then you’ll find the goal.

Simisage will use Seed Bomb while a Grass Gem takes effect for once, powering it up. Ferrothorn holds a Choice Band to raise physical attack power but can only use one move. Serperior will use Leaf Blade for critical hits and Aerial Ace to strike without fail. Jumpluff will use Cotton Guard to raise its Defense stat and Sleep Powder to put opponents to sleep. Whimsicott will use Substitute to avoid damage while sacrificing some of its own HP and Hurricane to confuse targets. Lilligant has a combo of Sleep Powder and Dream Eater. A move like Aerial Ace would work well for this battle.

Talk to her and she will give you her phone number on the PokéGear. Call her on a Sunday morning and she will be at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City. Shiftry will use Sunny Day to change the weather for 5 turns and Explosion to deal massive damage but make itself faint in the process. Jumpluff will use Sleep Powder to put the target to sleep and U-turn to switch out after causing damage. Victreebel will use Sludge Bomb for a 30% chance of poisoning the target and Leaf Blade to more easily land a critical hit. Bellossom will use Attract to make the opposite gender less likely to move and Giga Drain to restore its HP by half the damage the target took. Tangrowth will use Swords Dance to sharply raise its Attack stat and Rock Slide for a 30% chance of making the target flinch. Roserade will use Stun Spore to paralyze the target and Weather Ball that changes type depending on the weather. Moves like Flamethrower and Aerial Ace work best for this battle.

There are Swoopers in the ceiling that will approach if you approach them. The 2nd Yoshi Coin is by the wall of a rising yellow floor under a yellow pipe. The 3rd Yoshi Coin is between coins and a yellow ceiling moving. The 4th Yoshi Coin is by a rising floor over a hole. The last Yoshi Coin is by coins over a hole. As you reach the next landing, you’ll see Spike Tops. Go through the pipe back to the surface and you’ll find the goal.

Enter the cave of Celestic Town where Cynthia’s grandmother will introduce you to a wall painting of some sort and Cyrus will show up, claiming that he wants to change the world. Battle Cyrus to prevent his plot and see what you’re made of. Sneasel will use Slash for more critical hits and Ice Punch to freeze targets. Golbat will use Confuse Ray to confuse targets and poison them with Poison Fang. Murkrow will use Faint Attack to not miss and its breeding technique, Drill Peck. After the battle, Cyrus will retreat and Cynthia’s grandmother will give you an HM03 (Surf). With this move, you can cross water. Try using it on Route 218 for example.
