Because of of UK Government decision to lock away the country, I spent Christmas day 2020 on a 3 hour drive to look for neolithic sights & hill forts.
Apologies for the wind noise, it was filmed on my phone & was very new to how bad even mild wind sounds. I did my best to suppress it post production, but if it annoys, mute me & enjoy the beautiful sights.
rock art thats 3500 - 5500 years old!
Theres some interesting carvings, then a tour of a neolithic sight with the embankments , and another look for cup marks.
I missed an amazing one.

A trip to look for Dolphins and Whales, we saw no whales, but plenty of dolphins.
the guide said the wave from the bow of the ship hives the dolphins a high, which is why they attract them.
filmed in the atlantic between Padstow Bay around Pentire point , Port Quin Bay, as we went East to Port Issac (Where the TV show Doc Martin was filmed with Martin Clunes).
clips from my adventures around the world, hopefully funny, entertaining, all on YouTube, and Rumble (ad free) some on here, but not as easy to upload. message me, subscribe if you want to see more.

The Film Atonement with James McAvoy, Keira Knightley and directed by Joe Wright.
The Dunkirk scene was filmed in the North Yorkshire seaside town of Redcar.
Changing The Coatham Hotel and Regent cinema into France.
All shot facing North to hide the modern day seafront.
on the Horizon, the Redcar steelworks was on the horizon. Using Computer graphics, this was masked in smoke and other generated items. (Im not sure if the ferris wheel was real or CGI, im guessing the latter).
It's probably the scene the film is most remembered for , shot in a 5 minute single take tracking shot.
For years many of the markings on the buildings to make it look like France were left, and there is a monument to the film on the sea front.
the film had a red carpet premier in the Regent Cinema, the night before general release. sadly the cinema, while still there was demolished and rebuilt in 2021, it had struggled against the lack of visitors in the 70s - 90s and repairs to the ageing cinema, battered by the weather and north sea but what a send off it got.
The film also starred Romola Garai, Saoirse Ronan, Vanessa Redgrave & Benedict Cumberbatch.
The video was recorded 04/07/2023
