My overview of Linux Mint Debian Edition 4 - LMDE4 - Would I recommend it?
In this video, I show the default desktop environment that comes with LMDE4, the Cinnamon desktop environment. I also show the bspwm Tiling Window Manager (which does not come with LMDE4, but can easily be download).
If you have questions about the bspwm tiling window manager, please watch some of my other videos on that topic.
I also mention OldTechBloke in this video. It was in his videos about setting up OpenBox that he talked about the program "arandr". From that, I did some further digging and found "lxrandr" and have been using that to change screen resolution. In this video, I show how to use "xrandr" from the command line to change the screen resolution. I learned how to do that from Derek's DistroTube channel.
I've been looking for a terminal emulator to deploy (in place of gnome-terminal) in my bspWM bootstrapping script. I found Alacritty by watching one of DistroTube's videos:

From what I saw in that video, I believe that it is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for your comments and tips!

This is an inexpensive HP laptop. With a slow spinning hard disk drive and 4GB of memory, this laptop would be frustrating to use.
It can be upgraded... and it is worth doing. This videos shares my thoughts on that.

Glad to be back!
Just uploading video to LBRY for now. No plans to upload again to Youtube.
I'm in my new workshop and been working on some retro computer and linux stuff.

Most people don’t use the Caps Lock key, except by mistake. Here’s how to make that key useful by remapping it to something else.
This guide is for the Cinnamon desktop environment. Screenshots were taken on Linux Mint, but this applies to Cinnamon installed on any Linux varient (Manjaro, Fedora, et cetera).
I’ve been using vim, a text editor with modes. To get out of the insert mode, you press the “esc” key. However, that key is far from the home row so it’s not easy to reach. The Caps Lock key is on the home row, just to the left of “a”.
Let’s make Caps Lock have the fuction of Esc and make that key useful again!

My thoughts on laptop and desktop computers. I also describe my next project, which will be separating out my services so that there's one service per physical computer. I'll be using Dell Optiplex 3010 computers and Alpine Linux.

A lot of people have legitimate issues with Youtube, such as being concerned that their channel might be banned if they talk about a topic that Youtube doesn't like.
In this video, I express what I believe to be the long term solution to this problem.

One of my goals is to get better at shell scripting. @Luke Smith has been publishing videos that help with exactly that.
Here's the video that I referenced:

I highly recommend watching it and subscribing to @Luke if you haven't already.
