Anime Outselling Comics Isn't Inherently Good
So it's well known that comics have been dying and most people have shifted over to anime and manga as a replacement. On one hand, the new audience of people willing to give the medium a try is great. On the other, we seriously don't want to prop up anime as the new "thing" for people to pretend to enjoy.
It's already had it's boom, most certainly. But not the "Starbucks" boom, where it's hollow and lifeless yet everybody pretends otherwise. And we want to avoid this as much as possible. Because this shit is already autistic, and we don't need any more Asperger's getting in.
