I designed and built a a Mini-ITX retro computer from around 2001. Installing MS-DOS/Windows.
Check out https://www.pcbway.com/setinvite.aspx?inviteid=481573 - great quality PCBs from just $5!
In this final episode I go on a nostalgia trip and set it up with a harddisk, install MS-DOS, Windows 95 and then Windows 98. Of course I had to try some games and obviously Doom was one of them :)
The motherboard is a VIA EPIA CL with a VIA C3 processor.

I recently got lucky with this find of a VTech Laser 200 machine in nice condition. With it came a lot of accessories like a cassette recorder, printer/plotter, floppy drive ++.
The Laser 200 is just another brand for the same machine called VZ200, Dick Smith VZ200, Salora fellow, Seltron 200 and Smart-Alec Jr. among others.
In this video I do a walkthrough of this simple Z80 based machine, the cassette recorder, joysticks, loading games from downloaded files.
Next episode will feature the floppy disk drive and the plotter.

In this video I am building a TZXduino compact device (CASduino, MaxDuino, ArduiTape, Digiwavuino (many names) ) from a KIT. I love kits!
This is an Arduino-based device that converts tape backup files from a SD-card to audio. TZXDuino / CASduino can be used to load games and programs into the audio-jack of your Amstrad, Sinclair, ZX-Spectrum, MSX, Acorn, Dragon, CoCo Tandy, Oric, Electron, Atom and more machines.
I only tested it with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum, and it worked great.
This is the product-listing on eBay: http://ebay.us/LSFnHE

In this video I test a simple logic analyzer and oscilloscope device I got for cheap from China on eBay. I found it effective and easy to use for my simple needs which is to test if the correct logic signals are to be found on old 8-bit computer chips. I use a Commodore 64 as a test machine.
------
The device tested is the LHT00SU1 Virtual Oscilloscope USB Logic Analyzer Device that can be found on eBay for around 20 euros.
