It's not often that we see a complete redesign of a product that is already highly effective but Cinela did just this with their redesign of the Cinela Leo (Leonard Ball) windscreens. I own quite a few Cinela shockmounts and a set of Leo-20 and Leo-25 with fur (and have used them all on my booms for years) so when I tell you that they've made some amazing changes, you should take note. Today I'm proud to be giving you an exclusive first look at a working prototype of the Neptech BC-1 "Bluetooth Cable". Neptech is a young Dutch company making their first appearance at NAB this upcoming weekend and the BC-1 is their flagship product. Described as a zero latency "wireless cable", the BC-1 uses "bluetooth like" technology to create a short range (upto 10 meters line of sight), low noise connection between two XLR devices. The BC-1 uses it's own proprietary battery packs that can be screwed onto the BC-1 body or put to charge on the Neptech RC-2 (dual rapid charger) or RC-4 (quad rapid charger).
