BABYMETAL was formed in 2010. In March 2014, they took the stage at Nippon Budokan for a 2-day gig, making them the youngest female act to perform there. Their 1st studio album BABYMETAL instantly made it to the US Billboard charts. They embarked on their first world tour, performing on the main stage at UK’s prodigious festival Sonisphere Festival 2014 in front of 65,000 festival goers and supporting Lady Gaga - The Artpop Ball 2014 Tour.
In April 2016, BABYMETAL had a simultaneous global release for their 2nd album METAL RESISTANCE. They became the highest-charting Japanese band ever on UK’s Official Albums Chart, landing at No. 15th. Lovebites is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup consists of Miho on bass, Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, and Asami on vocals. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album, The Lovebites EP and Awakening from Abyss, in 2017 before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year. With another EP and album released in 2018, Battle Against Damnation and Clockwork Immortality, Lovebites quickly garnered international attention and won that year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. They released their third album, Electric Pentagram, in 2020.
Lovebites was formed in Tokyo in 2016 by bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. The two met while members of Destrose, another all-female metal band that disbanded in 2015 After recruiting guitarist Midori and support guitarist and keyboardist Miyako (then known as Mi-Ya), the four chose vocalist Asami based on a demo she made.Midori was in the band Gekijo Metalicche, Miyako was a member of A Drop of Joker and 21g, while Asami was a backup singer for Vamps and Uverworld. During one rehearsal, the musicians performed "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm. Feeling that the song fit well with Asami's voice, it left an impression on all of the members and they chose Lovebites as the name for their new band.They had their first concert on November 18, 2016 at Tsutaya O-West.
Lovebites released their debut EP, The Lovebites EP, in May 2017 via Victor Entertainment. Miho explained that it was more of a demo to get the band signed, but the label liked it so much they had it properly mastered and released. It was mixed by Mikko Karmila and mastered by Mika Jussila, who have worked with acts like Nightwish, Children of Bodom, and Stratovarius, at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland. The EP was released in the United Kingdom on August 25 by JPU Records and in North America by Sliptrick Records on August 31.
Support member Miyako became a full member of the band in August 2017.Their first full-length album Awakening from Abyss was released in Japan and North America on October 25,and in the UK two days later.jn787umk It was again mixed and mastered by Karmila and Jussila and includes re-recordings of the four tracks from their debut EP.The group played just a handful of shows before their first gigs outside Japan: two nights at Hyper Japan Christmas and one show at Camden Underworld, both in London at the end of November 2017.
In 2018, Lovebites performed on the Japanese leg of Warped Tour and released their second EP Battle Against Damnation on June 6. Days later, they won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. They performed at Wacken Open Air on August 4,becoming the first Japanese all-female rock band to appear at the German festival. They also performed on the main stage at Bloodstock Open Air on August 10, 2018. In November, Lovebites held their first European tour that saw them visit the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK. The band released their second album Clockwork Immortality on December 5 in Japan. Limited editions of the album include a DVD or Blu-ray of the concert video Battle in the East, which was recorded on June 28, 2018 at Tsutaya O-East.[18] It was released in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand two days later by Arising Empire, and in the UK by JPU, 2019.
Lovebites was the opening act for Arch Enemy at two shows in Shanghai and Beijing, China on March 23 and 24, 2019. In June, they performed at the Download Festival in both Donington, UK and Madrid, Spain and at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium.Their set at Donington was cited by its organizers and Metal Hammer as one of the festival's highlight performances, including when Asami joined Halestorm on stage to sing her band's namesake song, which she had also done earlier at Download Festival Japan.
On July 10, Lovebites released their first standalone concert video and live album, Daughters of the Dawn – Live in Tokyo, recorded on January 27, 2019 at Mynavi Blitz Akasaka.They were a support act on DragonForce's UK tour throughout the first half of November, and opened for Halestorm in Tokyo on December 2.The band's third studio album, Electric Pentagram, was released on January 29, 2020. Key Kobayashi (known as KobaMetal), a producer at the Amuse talent agency and a longtime metalhead with connections in Tokyo's underground metal scene, discovered Suzuka during her time as one of the Karen Girl's. Realizing her potential, he decided to form a group around her once Sakura Gakuin began in 2010, figuring her unusually powerful voice would be a good fit for metal. Yui and Moa were chosen as backup due to their unique chemistry – the same reason they were often featured together during Sakura Gakuin. – and also their smallness, as Koba liked the idea of Su being flanked by two tiny girls.* At the time, none of the trio knew what Heavy Metal was. They would quickly learn.
During the three years Babymetal existed as part of Sakura Gakuin, they released singles apart from the main group, as well as music videos on Youtube. Their first major single, Babymetal × Kiba Of Akiba, ranked unexpectedly high on Japan's Oricon chart and quickly led to the girls playing shows at progressively larger venues, people taking to the unusual mix of Idol-pop vocals mixed with heavy metal riffs.
In 2013, when Suzuka graduated from Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal was spun off as an independent unit in order to keep Su as lead singer. For the next two years, until their own graduations, Yui and Moa performed as members of both groups. Sometimes this resulted in scheduling conflicts.

Daniel spielte als Vorband für Nashville Recording Star Tracy Lawrence auf dessen Europa Tournee. Es folgte Openings fuer Asleep At The Wheel, Lorrie Morgen, Terry Clark, The Bellamy Brothers and many others. 2013 gastierte er mit seiner Formation in der Schweiz, Österreich, Deutschland, Schweden, Silkeborg Daenemark und Visaginos, Lithuaen. 2013 war ein volles Jahr mit ueber 100 Auftritte.
Daniel T. Coates’s Musik ist eine Gradwanderung zwischen Country, Bluesrock, Bluegrass, Rockabilly und Folk. Im Programm sind Classic Countrysongs von Hank Williams, Buck Owens, Willie Nelson und Johnny Cash aber auch Modern Country von Keith Urban, Joe Nichols, Tracy Lawrence, Eric Church, George Strait und Toby Keith. Mancher von Dan’s eigenen Songs erinnert an die Eagles oder Bruce Springsteen, wobei andere wie Bill Monroe’s "Bluegrass Traditionals" klingen.

Babymetal (Japanese: ベビーメタル, Hepburn: Bebīmetaru) is a Japanese kawaii metal band consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal" and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal". The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances.
The band was formed in 2010, with the original lineup of Su-metal (vocal and dance), Moametal (scream and dance), and Yui Mizuno as "Yuimetal" (scream and dance), with the concept of creating a fusion of the heavy metal and Japanese idol genres. Originally a sub-unit of the Japanese idol group Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal became an independent act in 2013, following Nakamoto's departure from Sakura Gakuin. Babymetal released their eponymous debut album in February 2014. Their second album Metal Resistance was released worldwide in April 2016. Babymetal has also embarked on several tours, with a majority of their tour dates taking place outside of Asia. The group released their third album Metal Galaxy in October 2019.
On October 19, 2018, Babymetal announced that Yui Mizuno had decided to leave the band due to poor health, following her absence from live performances since December 2017. Since her departure, the band has performed with backup dancers at live performances. In 2019, the band introduced three backup dancers called "Avengers" who performed in rotation at each live show to form a trio with Moametal and Su-metal.
BABYMETAL was formed in 2010. In March 2014, they took the stage at Nippon Budokan for a 2-day gig, making them the youngest female act to perform there. Their 1st studio album BABYMETAL instantly made it to the US Billboard charts. They embarked on their first world tour, performing on the main stage at UK’s prodigious festival Sonisphere Festival 2014 in front of 65,000 festival goers and supporting Lady Gaga on her ArtRave: The Artpop Ball 2014 Tour.
In April 2016, BABYMETAL had a simultaneous global release for their 2nd album METAL RESISTANCE. They became the highest-charting Japanese band ever on UK’s Official Albums Chart, landing at No. 15th. They also reached the 39th spot on its debut on the U.S. Billboard, becoming the first album by a Japanese artist to break into the chart’s top 40 in more than 53 years. On April 2nd, BABYMETAL performed at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK, becoming the first Japanese artist to ever headline at the venue. They completed their world tour in September at the Tokyo Dome for a consecutive 2 days with over 110,000 people to witness the massive tour final. They have also performed as special guests in various international locations for the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, METALLICA, GUNS N’ ROSES, and KORN.
In 2019, BABYMETAL flew to the UK to perform at Glastonbury Festival. On October 11th, BABYMETAL had their worldwide release of their 3rd album METAL GALAXY and on that same day, they had their first U.S. headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.
“METAL GALAXY” ranked No.13 on the US Billboard Top 200 (Albums Chart) and ranked No.1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart for the first time ever as an Asian artist. In the UK Official Charts, the album consecutively ranked in the Official Albums Chart Top 20 from their previous album and ranked No.1 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart for the first time in history as a Japanese artist.
After finishing their longest world tour of their history, they performed at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in January 2020 for consecutive 2 days as their extra show of their world tour in Japan, and restaged the world of their 3rd album “METAL GALAXY”.
In commemoration of their 10th anniversary, they released their first Greatest Hits album
10 BABYMETAL YEARS in December. During January to April 2021, BABYMETAL performed 10 headline shows at the prestigious Nippon Budokan. On September 29th they released their Blu-ray, DVD & LIVE ALBUM 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN as their final live film to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Yui Mizuno (水野 由結, born June 20, 1999) is a Japanese musician, singer, model, and actress. She is a former member of the kawaii metal group Babymetal and the idol group Sakura Gakuin. In October 2018, she left Babymetal due to an undisclosed illness. She is managed by the Amuse, Inc. talent agency.
Moa Kikuchi (菊地 最愛, July 4, 1999) is a Japanese musician, singer, model, and actress. She is represented by the talent agency Amuse, Inc. She is a member of the kawaii metal group Babymetal and a former member of the idol group Sakura Gakuin.
Suzuka Nakamoto (中元 すず香, born December 20, 1997), known by her stage names Suzuka and Su-metal (both stylized in all caps), is a Japanese musician, singer and model. She is best known as a member of the kawaii metal band Babymetal.

Yui Mizuno (水野 由結, born June 20, 1999) is a Japanese musician, singer, model, and actress. She is a former member of the kawaii metal group Babymetal and the idol group Sakura Gakuin. In October 2018, she left Babymetal due to an undisclosed illness.
On August 2, 2010, at the age of 11, Mizuno joined Sakura Gakuin, an idol group managed by the talent agency Amuse, Inc. She joined at the same time as another future Babymetal member, Moa Kikuchi. Sakura Gakuin had not yet released its debut single. During their audition, Mizuno and Kikuchi performed a duo dance cover of "Over The Future" by Karen Girl's, two former members of which, Ayami Mutō and Suzuka Nakamoto, had also recently joined Sakura Gakuin.
Besides performing as a whole group, Sakura Gakuin members were also divided into smaller subgroups known as "clubs." Each club had its own musical group that recorded its own songs. Mizuno and Kikuchi first became members of the "Baton Club" and its musical group Twinklestars. They were later teamed with lead singer Suzuka Nakamoto in a "Heavy Music" club, with the associated music group being named Babymetal. Before the formation of this club, none of the three members knew what heavy metal was.
Babymetal became an independent recording group in 2012. Mizuno "graduated" from Sakura Gakuin in 2015, and from then on performed with Babymetal exclusively. Mizuno and Kikuchi have a writing credit under the name "Black Babymetal" on the first Babymetal album in 2014, having written "Song 4" together during a bus trip. The second Babymetal album, Metal Resistance, was released in 2016.
Following a leave from the show Legend "S" Baptism XX, Mizuno was absent from Babymetal's tour of the United States in May 2018, with no advance warning. Amid fan speculation on Mizuno's status with the group, a representative of 5B Management, the American management company representing Babymetal, replied to an inquiry from Alternative Press Magazine by saying that "Yuimetal remains a member of the band, but she is not on this current U.S. tour." However, she was also absent from Babymetal's European tour in June 2018. On October 19, 2018, Babymetal officially announced that Yuimetal would not be joining the band for the next phase of their tour and would no longer be a member of the group due to poor health. Mizuno released a statement shortly after about her decision to leave Babymetal, explaining that she may go on to pursue a solo career in the future.
In third grade, Mizuno was a fan of Karen Girl's, Suzuka Nakamoto's previous group, and had dreamed of joining the group after their music helped her endure the "life-threatening" illness of a family member. The group disbanded, however, and she attended the group's farewell concert and met all three members. During the Legend "D" concert in 2012, Babymetal performed a cover of the Karen Girl's song "Over the Future". Mizuno says that moment was when her "dreams came true".
She and her family are also close friends with Karen Girl's member Ayami Muto and her family; Mizuno and Muto were both members of Sakura Gakuin.
Mizuno is known for being fond of tomatoes and likes to eat them whole. She has stated that she would want to eat tomatoes even when the world is ending. Mizuno has specified in one of her Sakura Gakuin diary entry that she loves to stargaze. She loves to look up to the stars during her commute time from school to home. She has also stated in her diary entry that she loves to read books about constellations as well. Mizuno has two brothers, one older and one two years younger than her.
