Southern Park Mall Continues To Evolve
Southern park mall was built in 1970 by Edward J Debartolo and included Anchors such as Sears,Strouss,Hornes and JC Penney. In 1996 the mall was sold to simon property and also remodeled that year. They also built the food court that year. The mall had stores such as suncoast video,camelot music,national record mart and Kroger. Also part of ponderosa is still there hidden. In 2018 Sears closed its doors then Dillards the next year. Plans are to renovate the mall with a soccer field a some inline stores where sears use to be.
