I Shouldn't Have Said Those Things To You | Regrets | Vulnerable Moments
The Library of Emotions - Regrets Strangers share their vulnerable moments
Hi guys I'm yuliku, a Toronto based artist. I created this video in Toronto. I create films by documenting human emotion, expressed and narrated through eyes (◕∀◕✿) (Eye Language Series)
Eye Language - I'm just gonna pretend I like you, because I have to see you regularly. You annoy me so much.
The Library of Emotions" is a project where people can express the things they've always wanted to say but never had the courage to do.
I allow them to express it with their eyes.
This project aim to connect people through their experiences so no one feels alone.
The goal of this project is to shed light on the beauty of human intimacy and how important it is to be authentic with one another.
The Library of Emotions was created by the artist Yuliku, which contains thousands of expressions of emotions by people from a number of countries.
Yuliku adds more emotions to her collection on a weekly basis.
As well as recording the expressions of emotion on video, she also documents the feelings and thoughts of some of her participants.

I take lots of time every day (probably more than an hour) to just sit, or lie on the sofa, or the bed. I think about all the nice things people said to me in messages, or in person. I think about them again and again, and smile like a sunflower.
Research shows that recording even the most mundane life events that we have experienced can make us happier later on, because of the warm, nostalgic feeling we get when we revisit them.
When I take time to think about those warm moments I don’t try to breathe deeply, or do some professional practices like people do in meditation.
I simply take a spontaneous amount of time, and think about the person I love, the people I love. I think about their faces, their voices, the things we did together, their cuddling, the way they look at me, the things they said to me. I think about their temperature, their scents…
I think about what I want to do today and always remind myself what I’m good at, and what I could do. And dream big about it.
I reflect on the things that are going well. And smile. You can replay these things in your mind. According to research, mentally revisiting these moments will help bring back the good mood and feelings they initially created.
I feel lucky about all the little things people do for me, that they love me, and the things that I already have.
I have been thinking about this new microphone I got this morning, and thinking about the amazing sound quality it produces.
Sometimes I think about my favorite mountain, or my favorite kind of sunlight in the afternoon, or the meadow, and the sheep on the mountain, or the purple orange sunrise on the frozen lake. Even the feelings of walking in the woods in the rain. I think about the beautiful hot spring. Today I have been thinking a lot of Gspon. It looks like a floating continent in the sky. Gspon is a village in the Swiss Alps, located above Staldenried, at a height of 1,893 metres.
I think about everything that makes me feel happy and warm. And after this spontaneous reflection I feel very happy when I get out of bed.
If any negative thoughts arise during my happy thought moments, I will make a joke to laugh at my negative thought, or give it a name, and call it by its name to ask it to go away.
I hope this inspires you to take more time away from daily distractions, and to let your mind wander, experience only your thoughts, and all the things you have forgotten, and feel good about it.

Video For Practicing Eye Contact
Without a word, each face lets us escape their stories, their joys, their sorrows, their hope and despair...
Delivering a part of themselves, which words could not fully explain.
For this, we need to listen to them with our eyes and understand them with our heart.
Empathy is the only interpreter between us and these faces.
A pure moment of intimacy, from soul to soul, hearts to hearts, eye to eye, for a short silent moment...
But with thousands and one language.

I find lots of women are emotional, but some of them like to hide their real feelings. Some women tend to agree with others rather than say how they actually feel, or they don't want to speak up because they might feel embarrassed about their opinions.
So to discover women's hidden feelings is very interesting. Because women usually have lots of sophisticated feelings and emotions.
Also in some situations, women are not just misunderstood by men, but also misperceived by other women. This is because a lot of the time they don't open up about their real feelings. And so sometimes women don't get along with other women because they don't truly understand each other. They tend to judge each other, rather than seeing the human side of each other.
I want to help people to be more aware of the vulnerable side of young women.
Usually older women don't feel comfortable being videoed because of their appearance, and they're a lot more private. But I do want to video older women as well.
