Ground Movement Series - From The Floor To Standing
I'm bringing you another video in the ground movement series. This is a short workout about 15 minutes long. This workout focuses on natural movements that bring you from the floor to standing. This workout also requires no equipment so it's easy to do at home. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
In this episode of the ground movement series, we're focusing on getting up from the floor. I'm starting you off with a quick warm-up and then progressively building you up to more challenging movements. Take your time and don't force the workout. Some of these may be very easy and some may be challenging. Remember it's a process and enjoy the workout!

Walking is the superfood of movement. We're built to walk. Most of us don't do it nearly enough. And because of the largely inactive lives most of us lead even when we do walk we do it with poor form.
I want to share 5 stretches you can do before you go on your walk. You should hold each of these stretches for at least a minute to ensure you actually affect the muscles.
Doing this short little routine before your walk will help open up tight joints so you can walk more efficiently and retrain your body to walk correctly. Another great tip is to wear as minimalist shoe as you can comfortably get away with.

Today I'm sharing another beginner natural movement session. This movement session is suitable focuses on balance and stability and doesn't require any equipment. Well... maybe a yoga mat if you want it.
This will be another groundwork movement session. Even if you don't have any experience with natural movement you should be able to jump into this session.
Just remember to only do what you can and modify the positions if you need to. Don't force the movements and do what you can do. It'll get easier every time you do it!

It's the end of the year and I'm bringing you one more beginner natural movement session to close out 2021! This workout is going to focus on foundation movements. This low-intensity natural movement workout will move you through lots of movements in a wide range of motion.
No equipment needed, though you may want a yoga mat if you're on a hard surface. Don't force the movements and only do what you can do right now. Keep working at the session and you'll improve over time. Take breaks if needed and have fun! Hope you all have a great New Year and happy movement!!!!

We use our hands constantly. We use them a lot for repetitive motions and also hold them in fixed positions for long time periods. This can lead to shortened muscles and tendons that leave your hands less mobile.

Today I'll share a scalene self massage. The scalenes can contribute to neck pain, upper back pain, chest pain, shoulder pain, arm pain, hand pain, and finger pain.
They can also be linked to thoracic outlet syndrome. If you have pain in any of these places, it's a good idea to check out the scalenes.
You can do this scalene massage pretty much anywhere. I do recommend that you have you finger nails pretty short to avoid shredding your own neck though.
It's usually pretty easy to tell when you're in the right spot because trigger points in the scalenes radiate to some crazy places. Just keep at it several times a day for a week or two and you'll be amazing at how much pain relief you'll find.
