Diamond Crown Maximus (or Maximus by Diamond Crown) is a super premium cigar brand handmade by Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic for the J.C. Newman Cigar Company.
Introduced in 2003, Diamond Crown Maximus is a full-bodied cigar with a dark, rich Ecuadorian-grown wrapper. It has a much stronger blend but is just as complex as its smooth, medium-bodied cousin, Diamond Crown cigar.
The wrapper leaves are from Oliva Tobacco's El Bajo farm and are selected from the upper corona portion of the plant, which adds to the strength of its taste.
If you enjoy the regular Diamond Crown blend, you’re in for a real treat with the DC Maximus. The secret behind this exquisite cigar is the dark, oily wrapper. Rolled with a super-rich, Ecuadorian-grown El Bajo sungrown leaf from the Oliva family’s farm, this cigar is almost as enjoyable to look at as it is to burn. A bold, full-flavored cigar that’s chock full of robust, satisfying flavors and luxuriously smooth from start to finish. A wonderful (but expensive) top-shelf premium.
Diamond Crown Maximus received a well-deserved 93-rating noting: "a rich, sweet cigar with plenty of cedar on the palate and a finish with notes of espresso beans."

have announced that they will release the Asylum 13 Connecticut, a three size line of the popular Asylum 13 line with Connecticut-seed wrappers.
Asylum 13 Connecticut
It will be offered in 5 x 50, 6 x 60 and 7 x 70. The 5 x 50 and 6 x 60 sizes will be packaged in 50-count boxes, while the largest size will come in 30-count boxes.
The cigar uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers.
“Asylum cigars are known for being more full bodied and Nicaraguan,” said Tom Lazuka of Asylum in a press release. “We wanted to blend something different and lighter into the portfolio.”
Suggested retail pricing ranges from $5.80-7.80 per cigar. It is being produced at the El Aladino factory in Danlí, Honduras.
