Alex joins me again in playing more Super Famicom goodness. This time it is Super Bomberman 3. He's never played a Bomberman game, so we tackle a bit of the game in cooperative play mode.

Another long update! Think of it as a livestream, except it's not live and you can't bug me when I'm talking about crap. Here's a recap of the All-Japan Model Hobby Show, with stuff I missed while I was there. Plus a lot of hobby projects going on and model unboxings---I hope you like Macross! Halloween candy, plus the return of F-Toys' Star Wars candy toys. Neat stuff.

1:72 VT-1 Super Ostrich from Macross
From Arii:

I had a great summer, and we did many fun things. We visited the Awashima Marine Park in June, where I saw this interesting display. This is one of those weird things I'd seen on YouTube, a video with no real information provided, and a title like "Weird shark monster found in Japan" or something. All you can see is this freaky, lethargic shark that looks as though it came from the dinosaur age, accompanied with some lousy YouTube audio-swapped electronic music like "Dreamscape" or some crap like that.
This is called a "frilled shark," and these are seldom encountered live. Resembling a nightmare creature from the deep, it is theorized that the frilled shark lunges at its prey like a snake and ensnares its food in its short, needle-like teeth. It is considered to be a "living fossil," dating back to perhaps the Late Jurrasic period.
"On January 21, 2007, a Japanese fisherman discovered a 1.6 m (5.2 ft) long female alive at the surface, perhaps there because of illness or weakness from the warm water. It was brought to Awashima Marine Park in Shizuoka, where it died after a few hours." (Quote taken from Wikipedia)

I've hit a snag on the Honda Fit model, so I'm taking a break and working on other stuff at the moment. Here's the Nausicaa and Ohmu model I saw at the IPMS international convention in Phoenix last year. I bought it on my last trip to Japan earlier this year.

This is my longest video yet, so please be patient and allow it to buffer. Others have uploaded their videos of the con, and this video aims to be a more comprehensive coverage of the spectacular event. I think that the Phoenix Comicon is certainly becoming a hassle-free, more relaxed alternative to the crowded madness and corporate takover that the San Diego Comicon has become. I got to meet Bruce Boxleitner and get his autograph. I was very pleased that Bill Atherton came at Ernie Hudson's invitation! Bill wasn't an announced celebrity, but I really enjoyed him at the Ghostbusters panel and speaking to him afterwards. He's well known for being the snooty guy in the Ghostbusters movies, the Die Hard movies, and Real Genius. He is simply hilarious in person.

This is a video showcasing highlights of the 2023 All-Japan Model Hobby Show. It is not extensive and focuses on that which caught my eye at the trade show. Bandai did not allow video to be taken in their booth.

In this video, you can see how I overcome the setback of a glue mess. These gloss-coated exterior parts are a bit tricky to glue together with modeling glue.
