Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 - Part 47 8/30 The Third Rivalry
After much foot dragging, we have finally reached the Third Rivalry, which will be the last one until the end of the game. We have entered the Stella Sanctuary, which is where you will find the upgrade to Juna's Brave Order to make it last a little longer (we will be back for it). There are the fights against the Steel Knights that we would expect, and it climaxes with the final battle against Arianrhod. After being double-crossed by who she treated like allies, she takes one final parting shot, returning the most annoying character in the series... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL0KxiejbSs
The unlock on this one is fairly simple, but it can take some time to set up. We merely need to win in Freedom City with at least 8 unique locations in play. Both Doctor Metropolis and the environment cards count toward this total. The difficult part at times is trying to keep all of them alive.
The strategy here is to bring lots of healing, which is why Lady Liberty and Siren are here (plus I was trying to get Siren's unlock which just won't work for me). Raven can give them another power use, so as long as the cards don't get nuked from full, they can stick around. Star Knight can try to draw some fire to protect the locations, but even she has limits.
If you want to speed this one up a bit, you will want card draws (F6 Tachyon) and additional card plays (Adept), then just burn down the enemy before he has a chance to wreck everything. Since I am trying to mix things up rather than continuously show the same handful of heroes, we are a little less efficient, part of that once again being me trying to unlock Siren.

This video covers the start of the Trade Conference up to the lunch break's discussions. It lasted a lot longer than I realized, so I had to split the segment up. Here, we just have a lot of back and forth and dialogue. It won't be until the next part that the bombs start dropping, figuratively and literally.

These are the final quests that appear in Chapter 4, with extermination missions sending you to all of the towers with bells. The enemies here are a tad stronger than what we've encountered so far, but are fairly weak compared to what is coming in the next video, so hopefully they don't give you too much trouble.
With this last bit of DP, we are getting in position for the final missions of the game (like the cooking quest) so we can claim the top rank and the achievement points that come with it. So yes, this is the second to last quest video as the end quickly approaches.

Since I was asked to save the true endings for last, we are hopping back in the tree and this time losing the Bidding War to lose Yoshiki in the process. From there, we get to bond with Katashi a bit and set up his romance route, which will be the first ending you guys get to see. I imagine Katashi fans will be delighted.

This is probably where things will start to change. With MegaTen taking up most of my time, I will probably not be recording immediately after this in favor of continuing MegaTen. I am trying to get ahead of it right now as Diamond is coming out later this week and I will probably be juggling both of those over this. In the event, this is the finale, I hope you enjoyed it. At the very least, I made it into Ultra before I threw in the towel, so I can get some kind of reward should those go into effect. Maybe when both of them are out of the way, I'll come back, but we'll see.

I've neglected the ship for a bit too long and decide to take to the seas. There is a boss to the east and the west, and I opted to go east since I could see the fight from where I started. Smashing down the Scourge of the Sea (for the first time), I go past it to see what it was guarding and end up with one of the secret jobs added to my arsenal. Sadly, I've yet to find a place with comparable EXP to what I got at best here on the island...

One of the things that piqued my interest that I picked up while looking into strategy games was a Gundam game. In this one, there are a few different Gundam scenarios we are able to jump around to, and since Wing is the first in their chronology, I hop in.
Now, I have seen the anime and read some of the Glory of the Losers, so I can explain a few things that the anime doesn't (namely Wufei). There are probably more things explained later in that I did not read, so I can't quite comment on those or even explain the pacing of the manga as it probably skips quite a bit.
As for the scenario, it is basically the first five or so episodes of Gundam Wing compressed into a series of missions so you can see the five Gundams. We start with Wing as it enters Earth's atmosphere, then jump over to when Sandrock and Heavy Arms met, and wrap things up with Shenlong's attack. We do not get to see Death Scythe, but I explain why things are tense between Duo and Heero even though Duo did spring him out.
Now, this is as far as I will go on Youtube with Wing since I am not a fan of Namco's policies or some of the finer points of the game. We will have a different scenario tomorrow where I was hoping to find some canon units rather than having to throw in a bunch of Phoenix Gundams.

To be honest, I am not sure why they went the way they did here. It makes even less sense considering all of this will probably be ignored going forward...

With the game at its climax, the story scenes are going to be getting progressively longer. As a result we have a gameplay segment here at the beginning and once we clear the dungeon, there are a lot of scenes waiting for us to set up the next area. The powder kegs have been assembled and are just waiting for the spark now.
