We are headed toward a new DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE high or at least a double top although I think it is all about the new high. This will be accomplished without any earnings as most companies have missed forecasts. The DOW is only 30 Companies and many of them are forecasting trouble. Mylan and Caterpillar are two such companies on the DOW who both missed earnings and AGAIN are on the DOW. There are many more example. This is Worldwide. Not just in the USA. The EPS or earnings per share is around 25 times the earnings and we have decreasing earnings and forecasts. This is scary with a rising DOW. We will see the companies lay off many more people in the coming months trying to make or come close to forecasts before it all falls apart.
