BetaFPV 85 Pro2. An RTF whoop with SPI ELRS. Supplied by BetaFPV
Whilst the idea of a D8/D16 SPI receiver would basically translate as "max range 100m if you are lucky" the very new ELRS SPI receiver doesn't suffer from range problems, and in a tiny whoop like this means you can have a good play flying pretty much where you like without thinking about it. So let's test if that holds true.
So far my WalkSnail experience has been on my rather chunky 7" Chimera quad, so let's go in the opposite direction and see what the experience is like with this tiny RTF!
This quad was very kindly supplied by YouFPV for review, so if you are in the UK don't forget to check them out.... as it's a lot faster than waiting for things to ship from China!
You can find the Bassline HD quad I was flying here https://yourfpv.co.uk/product/happymodel-bassline-2s-hd-walksnail-hdzero-elrs/ (also available on HD Zero) and the stores homepage is https://yourfpv.co.uk/

Here's my review (of sorts) of the Micro MinimOSD, something you can put on your 250 and more usefully use it to mess about with your PID settings.
I like it a lot, despite managing to blow one up (but that's my fault)

Hello and welcome to the 2nd part in the series about how to use your OpenTX radio. In this rather lengthy part we're dealing with creating a model in the radio, how you might edit some of the mix information, and then binding to a receiver and what you need to do in Betaflight to make sure your quad is going to fly nicely.
I decided to make a series on OpenTX after some feedback from people saying they found OpenTX difficult to deal with - especially if they'd come from another type of radio. I do also get a lot of questions about how certain things are done, so why not make a bunch of tutorials that explain it all. I have a bunch more planned, but if there's something specific you'd like to see and have me cover, then please pop it in a comment down below and I'll do my best to include it.

Same part of Botley Woods as the last biking video, this time with the Muvi velcro'd on to my frame..it did stay put very well, but I've only got the vaguest clue of where it's facing... which in this case is a little bit to far into the wheel.
However, much steadier footage this way. I must try this hill without full suspension just to see if I can stay on.

Doesn't make for particularly exciting footage, but I was really pleased to fly all my 4 batteries without any equipment failures or me crashing. Well, aside from my GoPro case misting up yet again... despite me adding the anti-mist inserts.
I just wanted to try out a few things today, diving using YTshim's suggestion of more throttle seems to make for a smoother dive, but my Tri still hates a steep dive.
Also I wanted to do my tree-line flying - which I find inexplicably exciting to fly... though I'd be the first to admit it can look a bit more sedate in playback

Here's a bit of an unboxing and a basic look at function on a few new products I was sent over for review from akktek.com. I like to put these "first look" videos out there as sometimes it's a while before I can go out and fly them (and I don't like something someone has supplied me languishing on the side) and also, if anyone has any questions - fire them away, and I can deal with them in the full review.
Their Amazon.com store is here - https://www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=1&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=ADP3MHCS3NLR7&tab=&vasStoreID=
Update: The Aliexpress store is now open here
https://de.aliexpress.com/store/2959045?spm=2114.12010108.0.0.haJNAI
If you'll notice (as I did) that the shop on Amazon.com doesn't ship to Europe (and I presume other places outside the US) don't fret. AKK tell me that their Aliexpress shop will be open within 2 weeks, and the Amazon Europe shop within 7 weeks.
I use Amazon Prime, so I'm particularly excited about the idea of being able to smash up something in the morning - go onto Amazon and have a replacement bit delivered the next day without paying silly money.

It looks a bit like a GoPro session, but is super cheap and is handily colored bright orange so you won't lose it in the grass. Sounds like the perfect FPV recording camera doesn't it ?
This camera was kindly supplied by Banggood for review, so please use this (affiliate) link to check it out in more detail https://www.banggood.com/Caddx-Dolphin-Starlight-1080P-DVR-Car-Dash-Cam-HD-Recording-Wifi-150-Degree-Mini-Action-Sport-Camera-Internet-Stream-Cam-p-1529596.html?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_campaign=currykitten&utm_content=zhikejian&p=E81211714085201408XQ
Alternatively for half the price and better frame rate we have the Quelima Lima SQ12 (although only if you are really heavily budget constrained) https://www.banggood.com/Quelima-SQ12-Mini-1080P-FHD-Car-DVR-Camera-155-Degree-FOV-Loop-cycle-Recording-Night-Vision-p-1226905.html?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_campaign=currykitten&utm_content=zhikejian&p=E81211714085201408XQ
For the price range of the Dolphin, take a look at the FireFly Q6 which is far better https://www.banggood.com/Hawkeye-Firefly-Q6-4K-1080P-24FPS-HD-Mini-Camera-for-FPV-Racer-p-1051978.html?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_campaign=currykitten&utm_content=zhikejian&p=E81211714085201408XQ
If you have a better suggestion for a cheap-but-good action camera suitable for good recording, then let me know in the comments.
