#RPGaDAY Day 2 Time and Tide can change how much you play. But when you hold the game and the hobby close, you're never 'going inactive.' ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgpvh-DxV88
I've known about Pendragon since 2006 or so when I first started poking at Hârn, but didn't quite grasp what it was after and how it plays. This overview is specifically about the 5th edition of the game, which re-centers the game around English Knights and makes magic and 'the enchantment of Britain' as Avalon slips into a dreamtime something for the characters to witness as their game unfolds. It is much, much, much more focused than 4th edition and the game seems to know why you've chosen to play it over something else.

#RPGADAY 2016: Day One! Visit Brigadecon.org for more info!
While one must make do in the ways that the medium will allow, the medium that really holds the allure of the hobby is face-to-face, Tabletop play.
And Real, Physical dice work the best at the real table. And as I pointed out in my video on simulation, physical dice also help divorce the outcomes of action from the people at the table, and therefore help the world and the game abide and breathe on its own...Watch this video for some more of that...https://youtu.be/nUQTnp6MbS0?t=5m16s

Hey folks,
This video got very, very involved very fast, and was an outright torrent of information to pack in. I know I don't speak to how it relates to utility at you table as much as I might have. For now I think it is a great study in versimilitude and in letting a Rabbit hole be as deep as it wants to be. It's also a great introduction for your players if you ever intend on running a Kaldor game on Hârn.
Hârn is published by Columbia Games and Kelestia Productions. You can find the excellent Kaldor Module on DTRPG and direct form Columbia's website. They gave it away free for Free RPG day Last year and it often goes on sale. It's a gem and comes recommended by the CGA.

There are other videos that will tell you WHAT they *think* the next edition of D&D will be like. There are other videos that will tell you where they *wish* future RPGs would go. But what's actually pushing D&D 6E, or any other RPG's new edition?
Making a new RPG is a big deal. Sometimes the market or the corporate overlords of the designers puts these these forces front and center. Other times, these forces act on a purely subconscious level. And keep in mind it's still AWESOME to see the kinds of games that swim upstream and cut their own new Road in the Tabletop RPG future.

I believe in the win-win.
I believe in rising to meet the challenges of our time.
"The Two Towers" is (c) New Line Cinema. The CGA believes this to be fair use as an original work that makes reference to the sentiment and allegory present in the original work, and the brief excerpt is offered~
