【4K】? Yangtze Riverside Walk - Experience daily life in China
Walking along the Yangtze river in China. I like to travel to the Yangtze because this mighty river is a great place for adventure and offers a lot of opportunities to explore daily life in China. You can see people doing their morning sports, going for the swim in the Yangtze, or just walk along the riverside to get some fresh air. Sometimes you can even watch brave swimmers crossing the whole river back and forth!
This video was taken in Yichang city in Hubei province which is located between Wuhan and Chongqing. It is not a famous travel or tourism destination and mainly known as the starting or ending point for cruise tours on the Yangtze. I like it a lot, though, because here you can really experience daily life in China without having to deal with too many tourists. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVryr690ttY
Taking a walk through the old town of Krems in Austria on a Saturday morning. Most buildings in the city center are several hundred years old. Due to its close proximity to the famous Wachau Valley it is a main tourist spot in Austria.
The video ends in the so called Piaristenkirche which overlooks the city. More info on the church: https://freethingstodo.info/piarist-church-krems

Watching a bunch of cute greylag goose goslings on their way to the water. The grelag goose is the most common wild goose in Europe and parts of Asia. It spends summer in the temperate regions but will stay in the south during the cold season.
During my visit to Lake Neusiedl I was lucky to see many of the recently hatched greylag goose goslings who were jealously guarded by the mature birds. If you try to approach them the parent geese will start to hiss. So in order to not disturb them I kept my distance.
They place was full with them. That's because Lake neusiedl offers a lot of food for them and the local reed belt is a perfect place for breeding and hiding. I hope you enjoy this recording of the adorable greylag goose goslings :-)

Exploring the night market in the city of Yichang in central China. On this Saturday evening it is quite busy. Loads of people are out to buy stuff or try some of the amazing street food. Spicy noodles, fried meat, pancakes, or chilled fruits - as you can see the numerous shops offer a broad variety of tasty things.
Because Yichang is a relatively unknown place in China you don't see a lot of Westerners here. The bustling atmosphere of the city entices all senses and allows for a glimpse at "regular" life in China.

Laxenburg Park in Austria is a park surrounding the imperial Laxenburg palace just south of the Austrian capital of Vienna. The park is a favorite spot for visitors not just from the city but also from nearby Slovakia and Hungary.
In the video I follow a nice path leading through a sunny forest and along a small lake. Laxenburg palace is located on a small island in the middle of the lake. Since you can only see its interior as part of a paid guided tour I just briefly went inside.
I plan to make another video at the beginning of summer when everything is in full bloom.

Dobra Stronghold is an abandoned castle ruin in Austria, located at a beautiful lake. Built in the 12th century, its main purpose was to defend the area from invading enemies. The castle was abandoned in the 19th century and is now open for visitors.
I was able to explore most parts of this abandoned castle ruin, except for the keep for which you need a key that you can get at a nearby campground. It's safe to walk around due to the efforts of a dedicated group of locals who repair and maintain the castle's remains.

Walking through a massive reed belt in the wetlands and climbing a lookout tower. This is the second video from my recent visit to Austria's largest lake Neusiedl.
On my way back to the car I passed a small lookout tower that overlooks a part of the lake's huge reed belt. When walking on the ground you don't really get a proper feeling for its size but after climing the lookout tower you realize that there is reed growing everywhere around you.
The wetlands with its reed belt are home to all kinds of animals. Various kinds of fish, birds like ducks and geese and probably millions of frogs (judging from the noise they make) live in the tall gras (called Phragmites). Because the reed belt is so wide no traffic noise or any other man made noises can be heard. If there's no other people around you can enjoy some absolute silence which is quite unusual for a densely populated country like Austria.

Taking a peaceful forest walk in early spring. Another short walk I recorded earlier in spring, when it was still quite chilly.
Nothing much going on here, just a relaxed and calm stroll in the woods. Walking in the forest in Austria is very safe. Occasionally you will meet a deer or a fox but to see big predators like bears or wolves you would have to be extremely lucky (or unlucky).
So sit back, relax, and just soak in the peaceful forest atmopshere.
