Sylvester Stallone’s Advice on Screenwriting #youtubeshorts
What a brilliant example of what it’s like to stop chasing perfection. I think I fall into this trap all the time where I try to write and create something that is going to be perfect right off the bat, and this inevitably makes me frustrated.
I beat myself up, rather than learning from the experience. Perfection is ultimately a trap that deceives the very best of us, the only antidote to is to free ourselves is to learn to love being imperfect. We simply need to learn how to fail forward, if we can do this, nothing will be able to stop us from achieving what God has given us the desire to do.
The Bible says in Galatians 2:20 but it’s not I who lives but it’s Christ who lives in me.
I believe this statement that Paul is making is the key to living a life of fearlessness and undaunted courage. You see when we live for ourselves we are constantly becoming subjugated to fear and doubt.
We fear what people might say about us, or what they might think about us, or even what they might do as a reaction to our own actions. We are a generation hiding behind screens, yet God is calling us to so so much more. He is calling us to surrender our lives to him, to live a life of adventure, dying to ourselves on a daily basis, so we may truly live for the first time.
If I could encourage you with anything, my friend and whoever is watching us. Surrender your self to Christ, let him live through you and see what happens. I guarantee you’ll be blown away if you take this step of courage.
