These are the latest (manufactured in March 2021) Clejuso model 9 German Police Handcuffs. These are the most up-to-date handcuffs used in Germany and are a restricted item in Germany. Fortunately, you can buy them from certain vendors outside of Germany. These are high security handcuffs, in that they use a very and completely unique double-sided key. These are built VERY well and have 3 separated pawls. They can be "picked" by using a hook pick to disengage the double lock and then they can be shimmed open. Although someone trying to "escape" if handcuffed properly like a police officer would, it would be very difficult to escape without outside help. But it is possible for a locksporter or hobby picker to help a cuff collector or escapologist get out of the cuffs if they mess something up with their escape attempt, without having to have the key. Very high quality item and very good level of security. You can even turn the little spinny ward thing in the keyway to make it more difficult for someone to escape even if they have the key in their hand! These are my ALCYON 5050-B handcuffs. They have a very smooth ratcheting motion, it cycles through easily when placing them on the wrist. They have heft and can tell these are high quality. They are NIJ certified for governmental usages. Sold internationally to governments and security services all over the place. 2 pawl bars makes this slightly less secure from picking than the TCH 800 series, because they only need disengage 2 instead of 3 but this is not a big malady at all, especially considering the key turns differently than expected and further, making it more difficult to get succeed. These are louder when ratcheting than the TCH 800, but there is less jingle jangle when moving them around, due to the coating than nickel plated ones like my TCH 800. I throw out my Viper handcuffs because I want good brand versions with 1 pawl bar so I then will have 1, 2 and 3 pawl bar cuffs. These are a pair of light weight High Security handcuffs from China. They are good & secure but quality control could be better. These have 3 pawl bars which are separated, in the same way the old Yuil handcuffs used to have 2 separated pawls. This means you must use their special key which is a 3-bitted key. You get 2 keys with each pair of cuffs. The keys are all solid, unlike most handcuff keys which are hollow. There is no keypost in these, so the keyway goes through both sides to allow key usage from either side. One side did back-load but this is either a defect which made it happen on one cuff when it is not a feature, or a defect causing one side to not backload. The edges are not smooth and are a bit uncomfortable, similar to a pair of Alcyon I had a while back. One thing I pointed out (I pointed downwards) was about the anti-shim protection. If you recall, Yuil handcuffs have two little flaps which are folded over to catch even special split pawls. In these handcuffs those flaps exist also but are standing up and not folded over, so the way they come from the manufacturer they are useless at adding any extra protection. Maybe they could be bent over by the buyer but I have not done this in case there are issues which made them not do this on purpose. Over all, I like them, but the quality issues in my case would be a problem for me if I were to desire to use them in a professional setting. They are likely Chinese since I have seen similar models on Chinese marketplace websites. In fact I have since confirmed with the seller that they are Chinese police handcuffs.
