Brian Brooke is the acting Comptroller of the Currency and former Chief Legal Officer at the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. Yesterday, the OCC under Brian Brooke gave the green light to U.S. banks, allowing them to provide custody and storage for cryptocurrencies and thus otherwise do business with cryptocurrency businesses. This will also allow banks to store cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin for their customers. This is very bullish for Bitcoin and should lead to increasing inflows in the coming weeks and months.
