Piddle In The Marsh, N Gauge Model Railway 33. Introducing Mr Willie Wash ! Read the description.
Hi and welcome back to Piddle In The Marsh and welcome to the new subscribers. Running on the layout today is a Class 35 Hymek (with sound), a Class 52 " Western Campaigner", a Class 122 Bubble Car and a Class 43 Warship "Druid". There is only one thing new on the layout and that is a WW2 concrete pill box placed to protect the railway and is now long forgotten by most and somewhat covered over as nature reclaims the area. See if you can spot it. Piddle In The Marsh has a new resident, a window cleaner and he can be seen today cleaning the windows of two houses in Bang'er In The Marsh. Keep your eyes open for Willie Wash the window cleaner. Willie Wash also appears on the Piddle In The Marsh Twitter account (@InPiddle) with his Tails of a Window Cleaner ! These are Twitter only so I hope you will join Willie Wash on Twitter @InPiddle. Hope you enjoy the video and see you next time. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux6p3-XHBjI

Hello and welcome back to Piddle In The Marsh. Just a short video to show you the progress on the extension to Lappingwell Mainline Station. The track is now fixed in place with dropped attached, but not connected. I have placed the platform edges on the board to give you and idea of where that will be.
Hopefully I will get to "play" a bit each day after work and get a bit more done.
Thank you for your continued interest and support, which is much appreciated, in the madness that is Piddle In The Marsh.
So until my next update, take care and happy modelling.
Mark

This is my FGW HST Brand NEW running in session. It has been run in solo first and made some interesting noises then. But after running in it has by no means got any better. The rear of the power car shakes and eventually jumps off the track.
What happened to quality control Dapol ?
This one is going back to Dapol for them to see what rubbish they are sending out.
No use sending to DCC Supplies because they don't get to see how bad their product is at the moment.

Hello and a BIG thank you to all of you who have subscribed to Piddle In The Marsh.
Now when I started putting video up on YouTube it was the idea of my friend John Davies so he and my family could see the layout I was building With John being in Chesterfield and myself in Somerset it was an excellent idea. Never did I expect what was to follow.
Unknown to me Uncle Wilmer of Indian Head Valley Railway had seen my layout and gave the channel a shout out on his "Not Bad" series.
I wondered what had happened as my phone exploded with notifications of new subscribers saying Wilmer had said it was a good layout from people I didn't know. Then three days later the same thing happened because Vinny at BNSF 6951 did the same thing. My subscribers more than doubled in a week. So thank you Wilmer and Vinny.
But it should be a thank you to everyone who has subscribed to my channel and continues to watch the goings on at Piddle In The Marsh.
Never did I suspect so many people would be interested in a N Scale model railway.
Okay my railway is a little different with the Nudist Camp and the Innuendo place names and the stories that followed but this was a bit of fun amongst family and friends but it seems to be enjoyed around the railway world by so many.
This lead to the birth of another Channel
"The Innocent Tales of Piddle Folk"
which as of today 24th October 2021 has
15 stories on. These started on Twitter and will continue on there when brand new stories happen. The YouTube ones are longer versions of the Twitter ones with a closer look at the layout where the stories are about.
This has resulted in Piddle In The Marsh having an Register of Names and addresses so I don't get them wrong.
How many model railways have that?
So at the end of the video I showed my Ugly Mug and announced a give away of a book for any of my subscribers who would like it.
To enter you have to send me
1. Your Name
2. Your Phone Number
3. Send the above details to
piddleinthemarsh@gmail.com
and the winner will be drawn on the 8th November 2021 and I will contact the winner. This will be done fairly and I will send the book to the other side of the world if that's where the winner lives.
YOU MUST BE A PIDDLE IN THE MARSH SUBSCRIBER TO ENTER !
Once again thank you to all who have subscribed to the Madness that is Piddle In The Marsh and good luck to all who enter.

Class 14 "Teddy Bear". Why Teddy Bear?
They were built at Swindon and the works foreman George Cole is reported to have said "wee built the Great Bear, now we build the Teddy bear" . The Great Bear being a one off steam engine. Built to replace the tank engines they soon lost the work they were built for and were sold off ending up in Quarries, mines and steel works.
This little one is quite old and has been retro fitted with a Decoder. Plenty have been preserved. Like most Western Region diesels they are Hydraulic.
