YouTube is a fantastic video hosting solution... as long as you aren't publishing anything controversial. So I host most of my videos here, but the actual publishing and interaction happens on the blockchain at d.tube and STEEM. d.tube has launched their own blockchain tailored to video interactions while STEEM is the best place for discussion without censorship. You can be downvoted, but you can't be deleted.

It was a great Monster Maverick show today, and I encourage everyone to join the live discord audience ( https://discord.gg/QBsa8fd ). We talked about the state of the crypto market, especially how DeFi is going to change so many things including how we trade inside Splinterlands. I briefly discuess YIELDBONDA, my new crypto bond that pays 15% interest. We also got into the raffle tickets that are being drawn in January. I went through some back of the envelope math with what the expected value of a ticket might be. There are a lot of unknowns in that calculation, but I feel like we got to a good approximation.

Use a recirculating water system to lower your air cconditioning bills?
I had this idea while driving and listening to the Peak Prosperity podcast. They were talking about solar generators and powering your a/c, refrigerator, etc.
This idea just struck me. Why not reduce the need for a/c in the first place?
A large part of the heat in your house comes from the solar gain on the roof. Like in my house I have a vaulted ceiling with no attic. So there's very little air insulation between the top of the roof and my interior ceiling.
So my idea is pretty simple. Pump water up onto the roof continually. The water will absorb a lot of the heat, keeping your house cooler.
The gutters collect the water, and then the piping goes into the ground to act as a heat exchange. The pipes come back up above ground and back into a holding tank.
The whole thing recirculates with the occasional top-up to replace evaporation losses.
Make the water pump run on solar power and you've got a very cheap operating cost system that reduces the overall load on your cooling systems, which will help your utility bills and reduce the load on the grid.
