Is it inhumane for so many people to chase one chipmunk? Clarisse doesn’t seem to mind. And if Disney villain Yzma’s anti-aging routine is so bad, how can she still make these dance moves?! I make some new friends, despite some old ones appearing to dodge us as the Paris sun sets on the first ever Disney FanDaze Party in Walt Disney Studios park, Disneyland Paris.
All good flower gardens need watering. Take a tour in a downpour through traditional rose gardens around the City of London. Plus we look at amazingly creative flower arrangements before the clouds appear. A trip around, down and up, up, up to the Sky Garden at Fenchurch Street starts here!
Early in extra magic time, take a peaceful walkthrough up inside Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland Paris with me. 1959 animated movie themed stained glass, tapestries and lots of surprises are sprinkled around Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, and the castle interior is all enveloped in the soundtrack from "Sleeping Beauty".
I get to take you along to share my experience as Dance Your Ducktails Parade balloons fly past rare characters through Walt Disney Studios for the first ever FanDaze Party in Disneyland Paris!
Have you seen the prequel series to the Jim Henson film? Does it make you wish for an immersive attraction? I made it just in time to the planet Thra (the day the 2-week exhibition ended) thanks to BFI Southbank, for just that and I'm taking you along with me!
Before taking a spot in the heart of the crowd in Parliament Square with me, I'll share the type of government I consider the EU was to Britain along the bank of the Thames. Then, between using a red phone-box to shelter from a rain shower, we take in the diverse bunch of patriots celebrating what's also been called Independence Day for the nation.
Tiana, Facilier, Esmerelda and Mulan appear as if by magic only after two early shopping morning queues outside the London Disney Store. And even Star Wars and David Bowie dressed Barbie dolls come to the party at FAO Schwartz in Selfridges.
The RER train from Paris takes me to Marne-la-Vallée and a beautiful tree lined walk from one of the Disney hotels to Lake Disney. And my favorite first-call attraction is the Grand Circle Tour of the park on the Disneyland Paris Railroad. Enjoy the horticulture, views, architecture of Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland with two or three high-speed excursions along the way. The day at Disneyland Paris ends with Discoveryland at night and a snack in the best quick service eatery on Main Street U.S.A.
We reminisce over shiny packaging and Easter eggs as we discover some amazing chocolate treats and spring decor on sale in Fortnum & Mason, John Lewis Oxford Street and Selfridges.
