Recommended Resolution: 720p (or 1440p if you're aware that all 2D Fighter Maker 2nd games have a resolution of 640x480 and want the integer resolution experience) For those just tuning in, a new version of Pokémon Type:Wild will be on the way between the end of the year and the beginning of next year, as per this tweet here by the PokéSho founder herself: https://twitter.com/moa151/status/1442777821508558848 To celebrate, I've decided to do a playthrough of all six versions of Pokémon Type:Wild I have (The OneWeakness English translation of Beta 5.3 will not be included). We're finally on a new beta this time around (even though that's only because I'm forced to pile as many runs in as little videos as possible)!, and this time, not only does this one add one more playable character to the mix (Combusken, formerly one of Blaziken's assists), but we have Swalot replacing Ditto as the final boss! When Beta 3 first came out, I was very hype due to a change in final boss. And IIRC, Combusken was a kickass character as well! Today, I will be playing Blaziken, Gengar and Lucario for this run. Blaziken got nerfed, but the trade off is revised comboability. A lot of Blazie's specials can be dodged just by crouching (unless your name is either Snorlax, Blaziken or Swalot lol). Blaziken's Flamethrower is the ultimate joke this beta as Lucario or Combusken can be standing and it would still whiff (tradeoff: less startup). His Blaze Kick got nerfed in terms of velocity and hitboxes as, just like his Flamethrower, smaller characters can just duck under it and punish accordingly (tradeoff: the last hit, regardless of strength, knocks down, which, in the corner, can create juggling opportunities). Fire Punch now has super armor (one point) properties now, and Sky Uppercut is now a Dragon Punch command (623+P) command instead of 2369+P. So, yeah, while I still believe Blaziken is still good, it's only the case with certain matchups. Gengar, like Blaziken, has received buffs for comboability in this game. His S.LK links to itslef and S.HK, but unfortunately, Gengar does not have Poison Jab until the later betas.... As Blaziken's Sky Uppercut command has changed, Lucario gets a new move of his own: Metal Claw, and it's not only an antiair, but it completes the shoto feel Lucario has. One of my complaints about Beta 3.2 Lucario is that S.HP only chains to Close Combat (his only super), so I have to rely on other normals to chain to special. As per the title, this is a triple feature.
