Rather than be a comprehensive review of Black Desert Online, I wanted to provide some context for some of the big issues discussed about this game and whether they're still accurate in 2020. There's a lot of talk about how this game uses monetization. For this video, my focus isn't so much on the ethics of whether they're approach is right or wrong, but how much their monetization strategy affects your experience while playing the game. For example, can you play this game for little or even for just the cost of the game and have it be worthwhile? Possibly, but that will depend on a few factors which is what I talk about in this video. Also, the PvP component is another big issue I see people talking about. And here again, it will depend on your particular situation, how much this may actually affect your enjoyment of the game. For a lot of people, it's not going to be the dealbreaker that I see a lot of comments making it out to be. I also want to provide some context around these issues so you can hopefully have a better idea if this is a game that might be worth your time to get into or not. Or for those who've already started playing the game, hopefully you'll have more confidence about whether you should keep playing or find something else. Some people really love this game and some can't stand it. There's very valid reasons for both groups of people. However, some of the current criticism of the game is outdated because it's coming from people who had a negative experience with an earlier version of this game. While it's still not perfect, there have been some significant changes made for the positive. And again, that's what I want to highlight in this video. What do you think about this game?
