The Finale of the Ultimate Doom through Final Doom playthrough using the Roguelike Arsenal Weapons and Monster mods! What a chore this turned out to be. From the video editing software, OBS, or GZDoom crashing, upload sites not working; everything was hellbent on not letting me finish this project. But it's finally done and I can focus on other Doom material for the future! It wasn't all bad though. I learned a lot of limitations of Corel Video Studio Pro. I also learned my PC REALLY doesn't like that program, or vice versa. RLA is still one of my favorite mods, but I'm glad to be able to change gears and get away from it for a while. There are also other games I'd like to record as well, all with a Single Player focus. I tried my luck with the multiplayer world and found it's far too toxic a place to actually be able to enjoy yourself. Not to mention Twitch culture and other outside influences making gaming more about showing off than actually just being able to enjoy a game. Roguelike Arsenal is a gameplay mod that adds hundreds of weapons, upgrades, and armors; as well as its monster counterpart adding customized monsters with unique and deadly attacks. As you may have guessed from the name, it also makes every run a unique experience with full randomization of monster types, weapons, and armor pickups. You get to choose from a selection of 5 different classes: Scout, Marine, Technician, Renegade, and Demolitionist. Each class has unique buffs that you can find out through the use of RLA's PDA in game. Short summary for each: Scout- Efficient with pistols and increased movement. Marine- Large ammo for rapid fire weapons and enhanced powerups Technician- Enhanced damage with assembled weaponry and easier access to mods Renegade- More armor and more pellets with shotguns. Demolitionist- Immune to splash damage and reduced ammo consumption with cells. It's a VERY difficult gameplay mod, or your best friend and makes it a cakewalk. Depends on your settings mostly and how much RNG feels like screwing you. It's one of the best mods to provide a challenge without taking too much away from the original Doom feel IMO. Testing video settings for future uploads. Feel free to criticize or provide input. If the settings are too jarring, be sure to let me know. I've become accustomed to the heavy screen shaking. I like my Doom gameplay frantic and challenging. I normally go for completion runs, but this was just a quick test late at night while fudging up OBS settings. Future game videos will have much more details and custom graphics.

The Finale of the Doom II Roguelike Arsenal Playthrough! Admittedly, I hate Icon of Sin maps, aside from vanilla. In custom megawads, everyone tries to make their map 30 more difficult and unique than others, and it just turns into some of the worst grinds while traversing large maps, WHILE endless enemies spawn from the Icon. Some mappers get it right and find a nice balance between level creativity and endless spawns. Not many though. While I love Doom II and plenty of megawads, I've never enjoyed most Icon of Sin maps. I'm working on Final Doom right now. I've had setbacks aplenty thanks to Windows 10 botching almost every program on my computer with a faulty security update, which has given me a multitude of crashes during my recordings, on top of save deletions and corruptions. On the plus side, I've got plenty of spare footage of me absolutely getting destroyed by RNG which with proper video editing, should make quite an entertaining video highlighting my Final Doom Butt pains. Seriously though. This run had some of the best luck I've ever had with RLA. Conversely, my Final Doom luck so far is absolutely terrible. Legendary enemy ambushes galore with weak, easily broken armors. In a way, I almost have to thank Microsoft for breaking things. I had completely unwinnable runs before my saves got corrupted. Anyway, more Doom to come as well as more video games in general.
