Sūrat Ar-Rūm
To Allāh belongs all matters, at all times.
Most people are aware of the superficial things regarding the worldly life, but are neglectful of the life Hereafter.
Allāh created spouses so that they find tranquillity in one another.
It’s worrying how in difficulty and when faced with adversity, we remember Allāh, yet when He blesses us with some goodness, we forget Him.
Allāh opens up sustenance for whomsoever He wishes, and restricts it from whomsoever He wishes.
Corruption spreads in the land and the sea due to the evils of the people, so that Allāh may show them the consequences of their actions, and that they may repent.
Travel the world and observe how the people of the past met their ends.
Luqman (alayhi salam) is a character mentioned in the Quran quite briefly. However, it is an interesting conversation because he is giving advice to his son and does so in the best of ways. In Surah Luqman, Allah mentions firstly the qualities that made him worthy of being immortalized in the Quran. They were
He was granted wisdom from Allah.
He was thankful for Allah’s blessings.
He cared about his son and gave him “heart-penetrating advice” (mau’idha in the Quranic vocabulary)

Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.
Quran Surah Hujrat 13.
Indeed, those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah!’ and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them, [saying,] ‘Do not fear, nor be grieved! Receive the good news of the paradise, which you have been promised.
(Sūrat Fussilat, No 41, Āyat 30)
The Prophet himself (peace and blessings upon him) taught us a dua in this regard. Shahr bin Haushab reported: “I asked Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her), “O Mother of the Believers! Which supplication did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) make frequently when he was in your house?” She said: “He (ﷺ) supplicated frequently: ‘Ya muqallibal-qulubi, thabbit qalbi ‘ala dinika (O Controller of the hearts make my heart steadfast in Your religion).” [At- Tirmidhi].
This day and age with all the temptations, distractions and tribulations that are happening around us, we need to have a plan to achieve our ultimate goal of earning Allah’s Pleasure and Closeness and reaching a beautiful eternal Paradise after we leave this world, insha’Allah.

Surah Baqarah Ayah 183. O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it
was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous –
Ramaḍân is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority... (Quran, 2:185).
Ramadan is not just about testing your will power and abstaining from food. At a deeper level, Ramadan is about transcending to become the best versions of ourselves to please Allah (swt). To abstain from all things negative, be it in wicked thoughts, words, or actions.
Ramadan is distinguished as the month during which the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ by the Angel Jibreel. This revelation marks the beginning of a new era of enlightenment, guidance, and salvation for humanity. The Quran describes itself as a source of clear guidance, offering believers the principles to distinguish between right and wrong. Observing Ramadan is thus a celebration of this divine gift, encouraging us to engage deeply with the Quran through recitation, study, and reflection.
