A few months ago we, as Pixels, announced that our big fundraiser - which would be raising for an LGBTQAI+ charity - would have to be postponed indefinitely due to the effects on day to day life thanks to this little A-Hole called COVID-19. Unfortunately, our full pride fundraiser is still having to be delayed to an unknown future date. However, as every core member of Pixels belongs to the LGBT+ community in one way or another, we felt that it would be wrong for us not to do anything in celebration of International Online Pride. So, on the 27th of June 2020, Pixels will be holding a 24 Hour Pride Stream which will run from 2:00PM on the 27th until some point after 2:00pm on the 28th. The 24-hour stream will also be the launch of a month-long fundraiser for the Black Lives Matter charity. The fundraiser won't be the same as our past fundraisers - instead of having a schedule with select games for a month streams will continue as usual with fundraising links plastered everywhere and the occasional awareness drive from time to time. Why raise for Black Lives Matter as a part of a Pride Stream? The first ever pride was a protest set up by a group of transgender women of colour, on top of this most charities that fight for people of different races and most LGBT+ charities fight for the same thing; Equality.
