Designed for use in aircraft rescue and firefighting at airports, aerodromes, and military air bases best known to us as a “crash truck” is actually an airport crash tender (known in some countries as an airport fire appliance). It is a specialized firefighting engine.
Today, I have a Code 3 Collectibles 1/64th scale Norfolk Naval Air Station airport crash tender or “crash truck” that I will describe later in this video. But first I want to talk about my basic format of toy talk. We can learn a lot from our toy/replica collections by doing more than just looking at them and putting them on a shelf.
