Skydive jump run in a modified King Air A90. This plane was completely stripped from all unnecessary weight and the 550hp engines were swapped with 750hp turboprops giving it enough power to take off heavy from the 2900ft short runway. This 1967 Beechcraft King Air A90 Taurus conversion climbs to 18,000 feet in 7 minutes! Absolute HOT ROD of an airplane. It’s the perfect aircraft for Skydive Space Center, which offers the highest skydives in the world.

After working hard all summer, it was time to rent a plane and get out of town. This was the first time I have ever rented a plane overnight. Join Caralyn and I on our adventure to the oldest city in the USA: St. Augustine!
The flight was in a modified Cessna 172N with 180 hp. We flew from Orlando Executive KORL to Northeast Florida Regional KSGJ.

Why did Textron/Beechcraft end the production of the King Air C90? The King Air is a legend in aviation with its unmatched safety, comfort, speed, and rugged airframe. This plane is incredibly capable with its powerful Pratt and Whitney turboprops, STOL capabilities, and payload capacity. It's been used for travel, cargo, bush flying, airlines, and skydiving operations. Piper, cessna, Mooney, Grumman, Boeing, and Airbus have nothing on the King Air!
It will be missed.

I landed the Cessna 150 Aerobat on the Space Shuttle runway! This can only be done with special permission from NASA and is a very rare occaison.
It was an amazing experience and a huge bucket list flight. I'm glad I could record it and share with you all.
