From https://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/new-options.html - Learn about adding a diving board to your swimming pool. They are not a simple bolt-on peripheral pool item like you may think. The depth, shape and size of the pool all dictate whether a diving board can be added. Most modern day pools are not deep enough or long enough to accommodate one. Even if your pool is one of the few that is large enough, a diving board needs to be added during a major renovation of the pool and pool deck. Additionally, some home insurance companies will raise insurance premiums for pools with diving boards or not even insure them at all.
