No commentary playthrough of the 1994 DOS FPS "Fortress of Dr. Radiaki", normal difficulty. This game was created from the ground up in 7 months (engine included), and I'm saying this up front because that's the only redeeming factor the game has, because it's the worst shooter I've ever played (and probably will play). You are a secret agent dropped into an evil genious' island to stop his world domination plans after his ultimatum. Armed only with a bat. You'll fight cuban soldiers, ninjas, giant talking rats, russian robots, killer fire hoses, and grenade launcher toasters. The game doesn't take itself seriously at all, and is full of cringe. I played it on normal because hard is impossible, it has like 3x the monsters with the same armor and health supply. I really can't make a complete list of why this game is so terrible, because YT only allows for 5k characters in the description: - If I seem to suck at the game, it's not me, it's the terrible controls. - The mouse control is completely useless. Behaves like a steering wheel, both for turning and/or moving forward or backwards. It's impossible to run in a straight line with it. - This game has no strafe. - Keyboard turning is ass, even with a slight keypress of an arrow, the view will turn more than you might want. - With the absence of strafing, you would probably want to "peek" around the corners by running towards them in an angle. Don't worry, the player gets stuck at the corner. - The automap is useless and will only show the tiles you've stepped on. - The levels are switchhunt mazes that will need secret door hunting in later levels. - Enemies can shoot through each other, so them all can damage you at a time. - The game allows you to save after dying - The projectiles from your weapons have a very small hitbox, which tied to the turning problems, makes them useless. - Your only weapon choice is the hitscan tommy gun, to ensure enemy stunlock and hitting them at all. - Some of the levels are just too stingy with supplies (Specially 8 & 11), while others are plentiful. - The vertical offset for many item and enemy frames is bad and they'll seem to float or be below the ground. - I could go on... Eres un agente secreto depositado en la isla de un genio malvado para detener sus planes de dominación mundial después de lanzar un ultimátum a la humanidad. Armado solamente con un bate, te enfrentarás a soldados cubanos, ninjas, ratas gigantes parlanchinas, robots rusos, bocas de incendio asesinas, y tostadoras que disparan granadas. Este juego no se toma en serio para nada, llegando a la vergüenza ajena. Lo he jugado en normal porque en difícil contiene prácticamente el triple de monstruos que en normal, con el mismo suministro de armas y vida que en normal. Realmente no puedo hacer una lista de razones por las que este juego es tan terrible, porque YT solamente permite 5k caracteres en la descripción: - Si parece que apesto jugando a esto, no es cosa mía, sino de los terribles controles. - El control con ratón es completamente inútil. Se comporta como un volante, tanto para girar como para andar. Es imposible andar en línea recta. - El juego no tiene strafe. - Girar con el teclado es una mierda. Incluso dándole un leve toque a las flechas, gira un ángulo generoso. - Con la ausencia de strafe, seguramente querrás andar contra pared para asomar el hocico en las esquinas. No te preocupes, el personaje se queda atascado en las esquinas, impidiéndolo. - El automapa es inútil, solamente enseña los tiles que has pisado. - Los niveles son laberintos a la búsqueda de botones, y requerirán encontrar puertas secretas en los niveles más avanzado. - Los enemigos pueden disparar unos a través de otros y dañarte todos a la vez. - El juego te permite salvar después de muerto. - Los proyectiles de tus armas tienen un hitbox muy reducido, lo que unido a los problemas de los controles las hacen inútiles. - La única elección de arma posible es la ametralladora hitscan, para asegurate de que les haces stunlock a los enemigos (y que les aciertas siquiera). - Agunos niveles tienen suministros muy reducidos, mientras que en otros abundan. - El offset vertical de bastantes frames de los enemigos e items está mal, y parecera que flotan en el aire o que están por debajo del suelo. - Podría seguir... pero creo que os haceis a la idea...
