Monster Hunter Rise (Solo) - Rathian, Great Izuchi, and Mizutsune (Light Bowgun)
I am hoping to repeat this feat in multiplayer, but I have to see if I can find a willing group. I accept the Mizutsune quest, and everything there must die. I start with Rathian since she lingers around areas where I can make more pierce ammo, which is the best damage source I can muster. Sadly, I did not know how to use the Wirebug attacks for ranged weapons at the time of this recording (R+A), which would have sped things up significantly as you can see in the very end. To my knowledge, there is no way to fabricate additional Thunder ammo, so you only have what is in your pouch and in the camp, with both Rathian and Mizutsune having that element as their weakness.
One of the things I wanted to show here were the hidden items inside of camp as most people may not be aware of the Pitfall traps you can find there. Every player has access to one, so you have the resources to trap every monster with at least one person with you in multiplayer, and the more you have, the more traps you will have access to.
As things stand, this is the last bit of the game I recorded, and I am only looking at maybe one more video with a group. If there is interest, I can do a video with the Heavy Bowgun as it is somewhat similar to the Light, having a charging mechanic to it. In the full game, I intend to use both provided the skills accessible to each are decent. I am still not completely sure what blade I want to use though...

With the final Titan ability, you can climb all over this place, but I am not sure it is really necessary unless there is some secret I missed. Sure, Pokemon spawn at high altitudes, but I did not see anything really out of the ordinary as I moved through here. I figured I would show the mountains here since it is a massive area and there are a pair of gyms in them (why?)
Also worth mentioning, I am starting to be convinced this game has the worst gym leaders I have seen in the series. I suppose the first two may have been a little normal, but they just get weirder after encountering Iono. This one is particularly lame since they decided to go the ghost singer route despite that being the identity of the fire starter, and the starter is probably better executed.
Sadly, the next gym is little better, but there are some things I want to tackle before we head on over there, so you'll have to wait a bit longer to see just how disappointed I can get.

There are actually two sidequests that I showcase here, with both of them coming from the same party and being performed consecutively. First, we need to bring back the missing member of their group, sending us back to the beginning of the game. With him in tow, then we fight the group, which unlocks even more fusions for us, and we get some needed EXP before moving forward with the game.

Welcome to one of my most hated maps/missions in the entire series. Originally, I never bothered playing around with this map on the GBA, to see if there were any exploits you could use to make it out of here any easier. With the AI changes in the Switch version, it may be possible to come up with something, but I just don't have any desire to find it.
This is a map where you need to survive for a couple weeks, and Colin is horribly outgunned. It is worse on Advanced. We have a small bottleneck we can try to plug with troops, but we do not have the economy to get any big units out (at all) to slow her down. Ultimately, I end up just spamming infantry that she has trouble clearing out and we manage to complete the map. The rating on this one is pretty bad, which is why I recommend skipping this mission in the original game where there are unlocks for having a good average score.

For the second Kanbei mission, we rotate in a new CO, this time Andy. You merely need to hold the bottlenecks and poke him down with your indirects until a path is cleared. From there, just run the APC down and take his base unless he really messes up and hands you a rout option. One more to go.

This should come as no surprise, but remember this place as we will be throwing down with Leonar here later and the gimmick here is repeated there. The silver lining to everything is that a better strategy game is supposed to be releasing next week, so I can put this on the back burner while focusing on that.
As for this one, we get the new gimmick of having an enemy max spec'ed before the battle begins. Basically, he has maxed out cards that emphasize his power, pretty much allowing him to one shot anything I have. Unless you can get him onto a new card tile that will start to erase these advantages, you either have to have the means to resurrect and try to win through attrition, or blow him up immediately before he can do too much damage. Either way, I'm not too impressed and just need to power through hoping that there is a development down the line to try to salvage the game.

There seem to be two different routes that converge underground to give you access to Alfornada. I'm hoping that there is a simpler way to reach the place, because that route is kind of annoying. It is easier to navigate with the high jump ability, but it is possible to do the backwards jump glitch to get access to this place really early. You will not be able to catch and control things you find here, and the trainers should be able to destroy you, so you will need to evade a lot.
Otherwise, once we reach Alfornada, we are able to fight the psychic gym. This lady is no Sabrina, but if you have a good bug, dark, or ghost Pokemon, she can go down fairly easily. Overall, she is just another entry of the many gym leaders that fail to impress, and they only get worse from here.
