Monster Hunter Rise - Part 79 HR Zinogre & Almudron
Utsushi has issued us a challenge and we are more than willing to accept. The first targets are Zinogre and Almudron. Both have tails that can be severed and Pierce can do a fair bit to them. I know Zinogre is weak to water if you ride Almudron, but I don't know the latter's weakness off hand. Both have gems, so this can be a decent mission for crown hunting if you want to get these two. Also, if you want to copy my set, I am using Zinogre's chest piece, so you can even get the parts you need for that from here too. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLz-2u1BGIk
Sadly, there are no CGs to go with this part that I saw, but we are making progress towards a finale for next week. In the mean time, the writing is on the wall and the clock is ticking, meaning every option has to be quickly considered before everything passes the point of no return.
If you want to pick up a copy yourself, you can do so on Steam with the following link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/527190/
Neat fact: this is the 100th video of the series. I wasn't really planning on doing anything special, but at the end of the video we do come across something important. The good news is that you will get to see it in action in the next video.
As for this one, Blastoise has been nerfed and Pikachu buffed, so we give both a spin. For Blastoise, I don't find it to be that punishing while the numbers seem to really make a difference for Pikachu.

And here we have the final case of the launch version. I don't know when the remaining cases are supposed to be released or any details about them, but seeing as they have a placeholder on the case file screen, they aren't exactly secret.
Anyway, McQueen, Dooley, and McKing all have to go to their class reunion where Dooley's activities during his disappearance come to light. The three have to put aside their differences and come together in order to contain the monster Dooley made.
I was surprised that this one was as short as it was. I edited out the part where I didn't know to chisel off the gum, which makes it a little smaller than it was, but I am really astounded the first case was as long as it was. It seems like they started off with their worst case and just made things better as they went.

I've mentioned that the reason I wanted Hong as my master was that he was able to cheese a boss. Well, we've run out of bosses, so the one I must be able to cheese is...
The true target in the first boss fight is the winged being at the top of the screen that just idles. Clean out two parts of the face, then spam your move that ignores damage and you can kill Odio without going into the second phase.
Then, instead of forgiving Odio and trying to Live and Let Live, this time, we have Cube blow him away. This is what happens when you let hate win.

After having to take the scenic route to get to our destination, I finally reach the shrine everyone has been talking about and receive their charm against fire. With that in hand, we are able to move through Surt's barrier and take him on, freeing the route for the remainder of our forces. The next step will be making our approach on the enemy stronghold.

With my cards still in effect, I want to get some games with the guys, so you see the four of us back together and causing chaos.
I think this is my first Lucario game, and I didn't really notice how bad his ult was here. It is potentially the worst in the game, but on the flip side, his moves are pretty nice. His passive is really crazy too, but I don't know what the CD on it is.
As for Slowbro and Greninja, you've seen them quite a bit here, but I am still fairly new to Crustle. I've learned some things about it since then, so the next game with it will be a bit better, but I am still not entirely a fan. Guys with mobility can dodge his major attack and you have no way to mitigate the CD. He is no Skarner, and I definitely feel it here.

After our little diversion that resulted in a new recruit on the strong side, we return to our main storyline. While I appreciate having a wizard named Dagon, the map here really sucks. When the entire thing is designed to have one low corner, it should be a red flag in itself, but apparently it went unnoticed.
We have the usual fare, the beefy monster wall serving as a roadblock, sometimes with AOE to serve as a bigger roadblock, while units with ranged capacity try to whittle you down. Due to the elevation issue, you can't really shoot back with ranged units of your own very well. I was kind of hoping we'd have more and more new classes trickle in as we moved, so we didn't run into a rut like this, but due to the game's age, it may not have originally had the capacity for that feature. So in the mean time, we will continue to try to force our way through.

Having chosen to use Aesfrost to repel Hyzante, we receive help from Avlora and a pair of NPCs who have earned their red shirts. The enemy is Sorsley's right hand man, Booker, who is a stronger version of Anna. Unfortunately for him, due to Corentin's wall, it is fairly easy to pin him down, and then the issue simply becomes whittling through his HP pool. Avlora fights the majority of the enemy NPCs, and due to her unique passive of dealing more damage as she weakens, she gets to the point where she can one-shot them from full HP. That is what we would be going up against had we managed to hold onto Roland...
As for the story itself, Exharme succeeded in his objectives here, driving a wedge between the people he needed. To get the details though, we have one more piece of the chapter, and that one is all dialogue. It will be coming up tomorrow, and then we can get onto the next mission.
