In this video I am doing a detailed test and review of the Unifi Dream Machine (UDM) from Ubiquiti. The test is split into two parts, and this first part deals with the installation procedure and GUI/feature set.
Next part will look into the Wi-Fi performance, functional testing on both IPv4 and IPv6, power consumption and RF measurements.
Thanks to AV Distribution (https://www.avd.dk/) for lending the device to me for these tests!

In this video I talk about how Internet Service Providers minimizes the risk of software bugs in the Wi-Fi routers resulting in a poor customer experience, using the CDRouter automated test platform from QAcafe.
Background: I am the head of network R&D at a Danish ISP, and I am responsible for the accessnetwork and the routers that are delivered to the customers as well of development of the backend systems, such as provisioning and decisioni support systems.

Last video I did was a prank where I claimed that a Wi-Fi router emits ionizing radiation. This is obviously not true, and in this video I show how I modified a perfectly normal router to be "radioactive on demand".
Enjoy!

In this video I am testing the ULTE Pro from Ubiquiti. This product offers an automatic fail-over function that ensures the internet connectivity even in the case where the main WAN connection drops.

Note: This video was an April Fool.
While testing a Wi-Fi router I accidentially discovered that the router emits ionizing radiation when Wi-Fi is active.
If anyone owns a Geiger-counter please try to reproduce the test in this video.
Tomorrow I will release a video where I go into more detail.

I have designed and 3d printed a PAN/TILT mechanism for my Sony video camera. When I was at it, I also added Zoom control as well as a "streamdeck" to control scenes in Open Broadcaster studio.

Using the CD-router testplatform from QA Cafe I investigate the basic functionality of a low-end Wi-Fi router from D-Link. To my surprise I uncover errors in almost all the basic features of the device: NAT, routing, DNS and firewall.
I am appalled that a device with that many basic errors is even on the market :(
