Crystal Caves is a side-scrolling platform video game, originally developed and published by Apogee Software for IBM PC compatibles. Crystal Caves HD was developed by Emberheart Games and published by Apogee. The original release was distributed under the Apogee model, meaning it was divided into three episodes with the first available as shareware, which designer Frank Maddin said "worked pretty well for the time." Crystal Caves HD ships with all three original episodes as well as a new, fourth, episode. Crystal Caves centers around Mylo Steamwitz, a down-on-his-luck space trader. Each episode in the game follows Mylo going to the planet Altair to collect enough crystals from its mines to finance his latest get-rich-quick scheme. Each Crystal Caves episode begins in a main level containing the entrances to 16 caves. To complete an episode, Mylo must collect all the crystals in all the caves. Mylo can complete the caves in whichever order he chooses. Mylo can quit a cave at any time, but in doing so, will negate all progress he made in that level. Like my content? Dragon Quest, titled Dragon Warrior when initially localized to North America, is the first role-playing video game (RPG) in the Dragon Quest media franchise. It was developed by Chunsoft for the Family Computer and published by Enix in Japan in 1986 as Dragon Quest and by Nintendo in 1989 in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Dragon Quest has been ported and remade for several video game platforms. The player controls the hero character who is charged with saving the Kingdom of Alefgard and rescuing its princess from the evil Dragonlord. Dragon Warrior is a single-player role-playing video game and presents players with a clear objective from the start and uses a series of smaller scenarios to increase the hero's strength in order to achieve the objective. The game begins in King Lorik's chamber in Tantegel Castle, where the hero receives information about the Dragonlord, whom he must defeat, and the stolen Balls of Light, which he must retrieve. After receiving some items and gold, the hero sets out on his quest. Escape from Tarkov is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game in development by Battlestate Games for Windows. A closed alpha test of the game was first made available to select users on August 4, 2016, followed by a closed beta which has been running since July 2017. The game is set in the fictional Norvinsk region in Northwest Russia, where a war is taking place between two private military companies (United Security "USEC" and the Battle Encounter Assault Regiment "BEAR"). Players join matches in which they fight other players for loot and aim to survive and escape - dying results in the loss of almost all items the player used and found during that game. The developers of Escape from Tarkov refer to the game as a realistic and hardcore first-person shooter role-playing video game that borrows elements from massively multiplayer online games. In its current state, Escape from Tarkov incorporates several modes for the players to play: online PMC raids, scav (short for "scavenger") raids, and a temporary offline mode. In these raids, players can choose to play solo or in groups and spawn on one side of a variety of maps to choose from in the game. Once in-game, the players are given an extraction point on the other side of the map, and must fight against other players and non-player characters to reach that point in order to escape. In addition to these standard extractions, players are also given the opportunity to use “optional” extraction points near the middle of the map, but in order to do so must meet various requirements per extract such as paying roubles (the primary in-game currency), not having a backpack, or having certain items equipped on their character. In addition to combat, players can also find loot in these maps such as firearms, equipment, and armor, and once extracted, can store their loot in a stash to use in future raids or can be sold to other players in a virtual flea market.
