This is mostly my take on the MD3 reticle (which I happen to like a lot) and some extra commentary on the scope itself.
I start out with some general thoughts.
My take on the reticle starts at around 55 seconds.
At around 6:50 you get some final thoughts on the scope itself.

Given that I have released a good number of videos (by my standards) in the last couple of weeks, I figured a general purpose Q&A livestream is in order. I'll take on any questions you have whether they pertain to my recent videos or not. I do have a topic I want to cover since it has been in many conversations lately: DMR Optics, so I will likely start off with that, but the main purpose here is the Q&A.

I decided to do a quick impromtu mid-day livecast, mostly to talk about March LPVOs, but also to answer any questions if you happen to be online.

This video is mostly a "through the scope" look at the reticle, although it also gives you some idea of the depth of field.
The discussion of the reticle illumination starts at the 7 minute mark.

In this video I go over my reasoning for how I set up red dot sights on semi-auto handguns and why I think co-witnessing with conventional height iron sights is important. That means low profile red dot sights are very important and that is why I tend to use Shield RMS or similar sights.
All Shield RMS sights have the same mounting pattern but come in two different widths:
Shield RMSc is a compact red dot sight for narrow slides:

Shield RMS is a touch wider for regular slides:

Shield RMSw is a slightly beefed up and waterproof version of the RMS. I have been using RMS and RMSc for a while and I am very happy with them. RMSw is newere, but so far, so good.
All three are very low profile which is key for the way I like to set up red dot sights on handguns.
Other red dot sights mentioned in the video that fit the same mounting pattern are Sig's Romeo Zero (https://bit.ly/3h8JIR9) and SwampFox Sentinel (https://www.swampfoxoptics.com/sentinel)

Once I get home from SHOT, I sit in front of the camera for a bit and try to recall all of my impressions from the SHOT. It is faster than writing it all down, which I will do later to a certain degree. The written part and the pictures will be on my website: www.opticsthoughts.com
