Adam Klaptocz explains RIGITECHs approach to drone delivery. More the logistics system and less platform. Universal drone logistics.
At RIGI Technologies we understand that one solution does not solve every logistical challenge. The RIGI system offers different possibilities to suit your particular delivery scenario.
An advanced logistical backend allows you to track, monitor and execute on demand deliveries between two or several locations
– perfect for B2B deliveries between mining sites, factories,
warehouses or corporate offices-.
RIGI includes special payload packaging options for cold chain delivery of vaccines, sample collection of lab tests in remote areas and emergency fast drop-off deliveries for the healthcare sector.
The RIGI drone solution can be integrated seamlessly into existing International Carrier or National Post workflows alongside other short-distance transportation methods, for regular postal and parcel deliveries.

The first one leads very nicely into fear based regulation. Ian Hudson had a very good article calling out a chap in the UK.

If you are considering entering the Lake Victoria Challenge this year the folks at Wingcopter are truly laying down the gauntlet
Over the past few weeks, Wingcopter drones had flown over 3500 kilometers beyond visual line of sight on Pentecost Island Vanuatu, delivering vaccines with an average payload of 3.5 kilograms. There are serving 19 villages across the island.
The payload includes four large packs of ice to cool the vaccines during and after delivery.
To make on-site delivery with Wingcopter even faster and safer, they have developed a special winch lowering mechanism that releases the delivery box directly at the destination where the vaccines are urgently needed.
The Wingcopter hovers 10 meters above the ground, the box is lowered until it safely reaches the ground.
This provides a scalable solution for delivering vaccines and other life-saving medical supplies from a central facility to multiple destinations without the need for an approach and departure infrastructure on the receiving side.
Local nurses often trek through the jungles to deliver lifesaving medicine and vaccines to health facilities. While some facilities are only 20 kms away, a single journey may take over two hours by car and up to 7 hours when trekking through rough terrain, often hampered by unremitting rain.
Wingcopter keep raising the bar in the drone delivery world, well done all there.

I'm changing the frame of reference, as well as the frame
Q_TAILSIT_INPUT=1 means that in hover the aircraft responds like a 3D aircraft, with the yaw stick controlling body-frame yaw, and roll stick control body-frame roll. This is a good choice for pilots who are used to flying 3D aircraft in prop-hang.
That is why I am spending time again in the sim, I use Aerofly RC7 because you are not bound to its own controller.

I might yet have to upgrade my version of Real Flight as that is what the devs are using for simulation for tailsitters.

I know that it is all supposed to be autonomous so I should not need to be in the loop, but I don't like feeling out of the loop. Especially with such high cost parts!
