Reviews from the Multiverse: Bigfoot Bill and the Shadow of the Mothman (Spoiler Review)
Well Well Well, what have we here? Yet another Indiegogo funded comic has come to my door! And this one is brought to us by Doug TenNapel!
Doug is best known for a multitude of projects. Most famously he was the creator of the character of Earthworm Jim! He also Spearheading The Neverhood games as well as the spiritual successor Armikrog. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. With all that in mind, it's no surprise Bigfoot Bill is one of the most creative and imaginative of the indiegogo projects released to date!
But what is Bigfoot Bill about? Well to summarize, Bill, believe to be the last Bigfoot, is being held in a facility known as the Crypto Zone. But after finding out he may NOT be the last of his kind, this sets him off wanting to get out of there and find his family. But, to do so, he accepts a task given to him by Poseidon (yes THAT Poseidon) to find his Finger {bone} so that he may control his all powerful Kraken again. Bill does this but ends up taking control of the Kraken himself as it becomes his new Armor and, eventually, friend. What comes for his a series of hi-jinx and other insanity but that would be spoiling my review. With Doug's permission this is a complete spoiler filled tale so come on in and see what this is all about! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKmjKct89XU
Continuing my Tribute to George Perez, today we'll talk about the book where his throwing in characters bit him in the butt!
During Final Crisis, Geoff Johns & George worked together on telling the tale of the three interpretations of the Legion of Super-Heroes (Original, Zero Hour, and Treeboot) as they unite to deal with Superboy Prime and ALL of the Legion's villains!
This was a grand epic that wrapped up a lot of plot points Geoff had set up, such as the wand from JLA/JSA The Lightning Saga, the death of Connor Kent during Infinite Crisis, the stuff with Superboy Prime, and the stuff with the Legion! With Perez bringing some of his best work to the table!

On Today's Lesson of Pro Teaches n00bs, Ingrid joins me as we go over the first season of Grant Morrison's the Green Lantern run! Alongside Liam Sharp, they would take Hal Jordan on an insane ride that is very trippy as he goes against the Controllers
When Green Lantern Hal Jordan encounters an alien hiding in plain sight, it sets off a chain of events that rocks the Green Lantern Corps to its foundations. There's an intergalactic conspiracy afoot, and a traitor within the Corps might be pulling the strings... Then, the Earth itself has vanished and been put up for auction to a buyer whose claim may be impossible to break without Hal violating the Lanterns' most cherished rule!

Today on our Godzilla retrospective, we begin the Heisei era, what is both Rob and Ingrid's favorite of all the eras so far!
While Godzilla 1985 is not perfect, it's a great way to boot up a new timeline! In the era of the Cold War, some years after the original King of The Monsters, another Godzilla ends up awakening, leaving the world in a state of panic as both Allied and Soviet forces maneuver around it. Meanwhile Japan is caught in the middle. We see a return of our old friend Steve Martin aka Raymond Burr with some great words of wisdom, if not as strong of a role! While the accepting of Godzilla as the threat happens a bit faster than we would have liked and it's clear the localization leaned in the conflict a bit harder, it sets the groundwork for what stands as the current king of Godzilla eras!
If there is one downside...the costume is awesome in the wide shots, but the close ups do not do any favors. It looked too much like the Showa version.
Special Thanks to Kaiju Brony for letting me use his video for the intro. Check out his work https://www.youtube.com/user/godzillabots

One the next lesson of Pro Teaches n00bs, as Bianca and I continue our "The Return of Green Arrow" Three parter with the second arc of Kevin Smith's run, the Sounds of Violence, that introduced an underrated, but still used, villain...the dreaded Onomatopoeia!
This story puts Oliver Queen and his closest loved ones directly in the madman's bullseye. Plus, the relationship between Ollie and his son/successor Connor Hawke is explored, while Mia — the young girl whom Green Arrow saved — flirts with becoming a new "Speedy." Also, Ollie rekindles his romance with Dinah Lance, a.k.a. Black Canary!
For such a short arc it does so much in its 5 issues than the prior 10 issues had done!
