This is a first look at the Android application Sketchbook which is made by Autodesk. It is a high-quality application with lots of brush tools. You can work with layers in your drawings and also change the blend modes. I found it very easy to change the shape and style of the brushes. You can start with a basic brochure and add various changes to it including opacity and jitter. If you are looking for an application to use on your Nexus 7 or any other android tablet to create some android art, then you would be well to have a look as this application. There is a backspace key so that you can undo a line if you need to redraw it. There are tools which will let you draw elipses , circles, straight lines and squares. Occasionally you might want to do some drawing and have it symmetrical and there is a tool for that in sketchbook by Autodesk. You see a different import dialog when you are bringing video clips into Final Cut Pro 10. That was no problem, it was just all dark and moody looking. When it came time to share my edited video out I had to wonder where the hell the share menu had gone to. All of the menu items from that Share menu had moved over to the File menu. At first I thought that nothing had happened. If you go into the window for background tasks, you will find the details of your share from Final Cut Pro X up within that. http://bit.ly/Z861v3 - When I first heard about the application Drafts I thought it was quite silly. Why would you want to put another layer in between yourself and where you really want the text to go to? Then after using it for a while, the way that I think about it has changed significantly. This is because many times I had to some text that can be repurposed for other uses and places. I might write a short, smaller than 140 characters piece that will go to Twitter, extend it out to just under 256 characters and then post that to the ADN and then I might even add even more to it and post up to Facebook. The application for iOS Drafts as a number of hooks into other services and applications on your iPad or iPhone. As well as being able to send out directly into Twitter is also possible to send to your twitter client and for me that is Tweetbot. The good thing about sending to Tweetbot is as I can add extra information in the form of tags, images and location. I also use the application Drafts because quite often something then I have posted to the social networks will also want to post into my journalling application, Day One. This will take me out of the application Drafts and then I can add extra bits and pieces as necessary. Other people, on the other hand will use the built-in hook which goes into a text file in Dropbox or use the feature which will send your text into a special notebook in Evernote in order to keep their journal. Of course there will also be times when you have an idea for a note or some text and you haven't yet decided what it is that you want to do with it and drafts is just perfect for that. I find that quite often I will use the dictation service that you get with Siri in order to put the text into the text entry area.
