Channel One News was a faux-News shows that students all over America were forced to watch in the morning before spending 8 hours in boxes.
This particular episode is on France attempting to remove Hollywood propaganda from society due to it destroying their culture.
This segment is intended to:
1) Make American students see their European roots as an out-group.
2) Trick them into thinking that Europeans think they are stupid. (At the same time that propaganda in Europe tells them that Americans are stupid)
3) Make American children feel compelled to defend Hollywood propaganda as if it is their culture.
4) It makes the French culture look weak and strawmans as being "scared of Fred Flintstone".
