I bought my wife a pendant for xmas and wanted to make a box for it. Rather than turning the whole box, I wanted to turn the inside but keep it square outside. I found a discarded meranti mallet head blank and used that. It's finished with a wax polish and the inside has been flocked with a deep purple flocking. I forgot to film those bits sorry. I was in a rush to get it finished as all my recent time has been taken up preparing for the bushfire threat to our house. My wife and I wanted to get some kind of fitness tracker/smart watch. I was partial to an Apple Watch, but as soon as I saw the battery life, I lost some interest. My wife did a lot of the research and as we wanted to have a device that did sleep tracking, the FitBit Charge 3 seemed to fit the bill, especially with it's claimed battery life of 7 days. As the title says, I'm basically just unboxing this to show what you get in the box & how to swap watch bands. I was going to do the setup and more, but I'd prefer to live with it for a couple of weeks and do a 'real world' follow up. Plus, it said it required an update as soon as I paired it with my phone.
