Hemant Rai took back his nomination paper Darjeeling According to Dinesh Sampang, media cell in-charge of the party, Hemant Rai, chairman of Gorabayo Arya Bloomfield Rock Rishihat Samashti, Barbote branch, returned his nomination letter today. Addressing reporters at the Goramumo Central Office in Darjeeling after returning his nomination papers to the Darjeeling District Executive Office, he said: But later I realized that I had acted against the party's principles. The GTA is an unconstitutional arrangement and it does not fulfill the aspirations of the Gorkhas. That is why now the people have to boycott the GTA elections. Hemant Rai said in his address that he would like to express his condolences to all the top leaders of the party including Goramumo Chairman Man Ghising and the entire leadership of the constituency. It is against the law. We strongly oppose the election and appeal to the people not to cast their vote. Welcoming the decision taken by Hemant Rai with respect, he has proved that he is a sincere member of the caste and soil as well as a hard working member of the Goramumo Party.
