More fun with Blender! This time I modeled a building based on some reference photos I took of some buildings downtown. The modeling portion was pretty easy, but this was the first time I've really messed with procedurally-generated textures.
Since it's winter and all, I thought I'd try modeling a block of ice in Blender. This was all pretty simple, and used no additional plugins. Special thanks to these tutorials:

Cody and Guy as they appear in the excellent fan-made movie "The Broken Gear: A Final Fight Film" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykIDS42BMEA). I really like their costumes here and have been wanting to do this quick illustration for a while. I plan to do some more in the near future, including some sprites. This particular scene is based on this screenshot:

Made using Sakura Pigma Micron drawing pens and Prismacolor markers.
Slowly getting a better handle on using DaVinci Resolve Fusion. I created a "paint-on" title combined with a pseudo-3D satellite image and height map "flyover" of Mount Vesuvius.

I'll have a full 3D modeling reel uploaded very soon, but in the meantime enjoy this little "Christmas present," a poinsettia modeled and textured by me. Also dedicated to my grandma, who loved poinsettias. Software used: Maya, Photoshop.
I'm trying to get better at Blender (especially coming from Maya) so I wanted to try something relatively simple: in this case, a low-poly Greek-style temple. This was a good practice project, and should hopefully set the stage (eventually) for more complex models.

Another Blender demo, combining several practice pieces into one. This was mostly an exercise in working with geometry nodes and HDRIs.
I would normally make my own textures, but for the sake of expediency, I grabbed some from here:

This past year I took some introductory 3D modeling courses, complete with an introduction to the Unity game engine. This reel contains some of the models I've created, and brought together in a Unity demo. Except for the room shell, all models were created and textured by me.

Just for fun, I thought I'd try some "ink splatter"-esque map reveal animations. This wasn't part of a project or anything, just me messing around in After Effects. I got the idea after watching this video: https://invidious.kavin.rocks/watch?v=5He7No8c7mQ
